So I thought we should list the BEST/GREATEST fights ever aired "originally" by ESPN.
(Not counting Classics that are re-aired and or anything else aired by them that was not an original ESPN fight)
Heres some that come to mind.
1. William Lee vs. John LoCicero
2. Micky Ward vs. Emmanuel Augustus
3. Sakio Bika vs. Jaidon Codrington
4. Julio C. Gonzalez vs. Julian Letterlough
5. Willie Gibbs vs. Daniel Edouard
6. Jason Litzau vs. John Nolasco
7. Pernell Whitaker vs. Diosbelys Hurtado
#2 and #6 immediately came to mind for me CMM. Seen the Ward fight many times, great fight. Darnell "Ding-a-Ling"Wilson vs. that guy{forgot his name}, where he almost knocked his head off last year. There was a fight a couple of years ago, maybe someone can help me with the guys names. Some little kat from New Zealand fighting this Black guy that kept knocking him down over and over and over, but the little kid from New Zealand kept getting up again and again. By the time the 1st few rounds were over the whole crowd seemed to be cheering for that punching bag from Zealand. Sorry I forgot the names, someone will remember them for me.
I think that might have been Santos Pakua... funny thing he took the name Santos in respect of my brother one of NZ's best ever lightweights!!!

Zack padilla Vs. Ray olivera Punch a thon still holds a record I believe also Padilla vs. Carlos gonzalez (cant remember if it was ESPN)
Kevin Pompey Vs.Harorld Brazier 1
Johnny Tapia Vs.Henry Martinez..Not so much a war but Tapia fought like he was channeling demons.possessed.

Nice Call Mick with Diaz vs. Augustus.Alot may disagree but I think up to a few years ago Augustus was at his best In the "Drunken Master" Groove With a few exceptions and I can never speak Ill of a Hometown guy In Burton Lol But Diaz Really kept pressure up and sat in with him and Took IT.
I am Not Into Clowning and frown on excessive showmanship but It worked for him and thinking hard........I have not seen any fighter be so effective with what Micky Ward called the "Puppet-Stuff"! LMAO ;D Then again Ive never seen Puppet stuff.

Right, their was something about the way in which he did it.
When he applied it properly that just worked for him.
Re: The Best Fights Ever Aired On ESPN?
Cintron Estrada is my all-time favorite.
The last Contender fight was awesome. 8)
It had the environment of a Tyson HBO card of the nineties.
Re: The Best Fights Ever Aired On ESPN?
ray oliviera vs. vince phillips
calvin brock vs. jameel mccline

Brock/McCline was a good fight. How about after the Augustus/Burton fight when Teddy Atlas gave that ref a verbal ass kicking :D
