leftylee the MLS is just getting off the ground I mean it's been around over 10 years but it's a slow process to build a sport somewhere where it's not as popular....we were NEVER going to start out rivaling the EPL or Serie A or anyone else.

By the way that vid was when Rooney was 16 too and how he ended Arsenal's 42 game unbeaten run with that goal.
Fact is that Rooney was a prodigy at 16, and it's equally possible that Altidore is showing that same level of potential, but unfortunately Rooney has already delivered so he will always be one step ahead in this argument. And fortunately for him he's moved on to a team where he can really fulfill his potential and win major trophies. Shame he isn't Italian and could win something on the international stage too.
