Was vargas out of balance when he was caught or was he really stunned. his legs look like they suffled right at the point he sticks his chin up and mayorga catches it with a right hook/overhand. Vargas then rolls around the canvas, both of his legs even goes up as if he was caught with a huge jumping punch from mayorga.
Ballsy and fun but Vargas made Mayorga look better than he was/is ,mistakes turning square and going down, unfit, slow reactions made the winner look better to some than he really is.
vargas said that the first knockdown was a slip, but i think he stumbled from a punch, mayorga should fight verron forestQuote:

I have an issue with people using the word 'Great', I just feel people throw that word around like nothing.....Quote:

Not sure what you view a fight as being great but IMO it was far from being great.
Entertaining yes, great no.Quote:

Mayorga won a big fight finally, thats all I care about. And he learned how to box a little finally too, making him more dangerous.
I agree. I thought it was a good fight but not great. Vargas was pretty slow throughout the fight and shuffled about really. Reminded me a bit of 'asthma man' shannon briggs and the way he shuffles around the ring. Mayorga surprised me with his effort over the 12 rounds but vargas didn't make him work too hard. I actually thought the Cintron v Feliciano fight was better. Oh and yes I thought vargas was going to win, but not for any particular reason i thought his boxing skills would be the difference but couldn't really split them.Quote:

And they both threw some huge punches, with Mayorga deservedly taking it in the end.
it was a damn satisfying fight. I had a cigarette afterwards. Almost as good as sex.
;D :rasta: :fking:Quote:
