The only thing I can possibly think to say is that - if you KNOWWWWW your going to be in a fight AT LEAST a day in advance,,,,,, then you really should just avoid it.... Pub fights or something where a guy tries to attack your girl is one thing,,,, but planning to have a fight with someone "on Tuesday after school behind the gym" is just kind of realllllly stupid.... Even if we could teach your cousin everything in one day over the net, your cousin might actually start to win and the other guy will pull out a knife....
It's a f'n realistic situation.. a lot of guys would rather go to jail for manslaughter than have their ego bruised, especially in front of a crowd....
Any fighting outside a ring should be avoided at all costs... When your 12 or 14 at school even, fighting is stupid, when your an adult it's just f'n crazy... It's not a game anymore like in school,,,, people can and usually do get f'cked up royaly in a street fight.... Nothing you learn on the net will change that... I've avoided many many fights just by keeping me ego in check and realising the only thing that really compelled me to go in and beat the sh!t out of another person was pride... There is more to me than just that so I was able to pass on heading into a meaningless fight...
Pride doesn't help you when your laying in hospital after being kicked in the head 100 times by a guy and his 8 friends...

CC#115 Well Said....Avoid the situation unless there is no way to avoid it...it doesn't take a tough guy to fight in an alley or behind the school etc....someone is going to get hurt......like you said possibly seriously.....
I use the rule and I make sure my kids who all know how to box and have do so in the amateurs.....The rule is "Outside the ring unless someone put's their hands on you walk away"....

A guy I was friends with ahhh geez 10 years ago now, was in the city with his girlfriend and had just come out of 7-11 with a slurpee,,, he walked outside and an italian guy walked past and just knocked the slurpee out of his hands... Naturally the guy is like "what the F*** are you doing??", the Italian guy pulls a knife straight out and stabs him twice....
It's definetly true that a LOT of men don't grow nuts in this day and age, but there are too many wacko's out there these days to go around being a hero at every opportunity.. The Italian guy absolutely surely deserved a major punch in the head,,, and a beating may have taught him a lesson.. But what can you do when all he was looking to do is stab the first person who stands up for themselves....
It's true a lot of people's mouths deserve to be beaten shut,,,, *cough*floyd*cough* but it's not worth putting your life at risk unless you know it's going to go down fairly in some sort of way... (I guess I left that open for Floyd supports to make a comment about Ricky's safety right here,,, but I am trying to make a point)

I did originally wonder how someone with 3 posts had posted in here..... Of course, the message being moved makes a lot more sense, but i'm a bit slow at the start of the week.
