Like I said above I liked watching Floyd when he was at the lower weights... People just remember what he's done lately... the kid likes his bike nowadays but once apon a time he'd stand and fight...

Oh i have bro like i said Whitaker, Mayweather, are my favorite fighters of all time the skill the slickness is just amazing to watch its like poetry in motion.

It will be interesting if Mayweather keeps on fighitng for a few years to see his style change, depsite what people said he did go toe to toe for a few parts againt Baldomir and hit him like 8 times while dodging everything, and there were a few rounds not just late where he was fine standing toe to toe with Oscar. I see Mayweather footspeed more than anything go down, and as somebody who fluctuates in weight while I am in training I can tell that footspeed is very much effected by bodyweight, especially that acceleration which is so key in boxing.

1. Pernell was 33 years old and way past his prime against Oscar, and he still hardly got hit by a big punch all night.
2. What punches did Chavez land? I don't have the punch numbers for that fight, but I'd be willing to bet Pernell got hit by no more punches by Chavez than Floyd did by Oscar.

P.S. To answer the thread question, I'd say they're about equal in terms of excitement. Pernell threw many more punches, but Floyd's fights against NDou, Chavez, and Corley were as exciting or maybe even better than any of Pernell's fights.

Pernell Whitaker would of took Oscar to school in his prime.

I'm gonna say PBF was more exciting to watch. As of late not really but early in his careers he had a couple of good entertaning fights.

To me, they are both azz Clowns.

I gotta say Pernell...He was more talented and could move at angles that was enough alone to have you wondering WTF is his skeletal structure made of?.....Plus Pernell had more personality over all and it made him more likable....

I never for the life of me thought I would Say this..Cough..Whitaker was exciting..(more) exciting.
Whitaker Faced much better competition,with all of that dipping and crouching mixed with sharp counters.Also seemed to put him self stedfast in the pocket SOMEtimes..........resulting in off the canvas victories.
For me Its gotten to the point with Maywither that Im watching and waiting for the roof to collapse?He's not exciting to me, but he is damn good!
