Floyd faced a 43-0 two weight champ who was backed by many on this forum to win and ko'd him spectacularly.
It used to be Hatton would destroy PBF.
Now all i here is that Cotto would destroy Floyd.
So if Floyd beats Cotto, (which im almost certain he would), who will be next?
There will be posters on here sayin Cotto was overrated, Floyd hasnt beat Williams yet.
then
Williams was just tall, Floyd hasnt beat Margarito yet.
then
Margarito was a glorified journeyman, Floyd hasnt beat Klitschko yet.
Why dont u guys give PBF some respect?
Ok here we go, here's a list of floyds last 10 fights: Victoriano Sosa(KTFO by Cotto), Phillip N'dou(who?), DeMarcus Corley(good fighter & he stunned floyd), Henry Bruseles(who?), Arturo Gatti(washed up at the time), Sharmba Mithchell(tier 2 fighter), Zab Judah(I'll give him credit for that one), Carlos Baldomir(beat an unfocused Judah but still not near top tier guy), Oscar DeLaHoya(had 1 fight in the last three years and it was against a punching bag named Mayorga), Ricky Hatton(think Collazo)
He has not stepped up and taken a legitimate challenge for a very long time and while I wouldnt go as far as saying he isn't any good, I do have many questions that need answering.
Please post the last 10 victories of both Williams and Cotto so that as a board we can collectively laugh at you ;D ;D ;D
Are you saying floyd has fought better competition @ ww than Cotto?
Floyd has beaten better competition than Cotto fullstop, and im a Cotto fan saying that. Cotto would not beat 154 ODLH at this point in his career.

Believe me eagle, it might seem I'm trying to degrade what he did with Hatton, but I'm not. Floyd is phenomenal, and I don't see him losing to any WW. It's just if you're going to proclaim yourself the best at 147, then go out fighting one of the more established guys that is a better WW than Hatton. Peace bro' and CC; I don't know how else to explain it :-\
Ok im kinda getting u now. I just dont like how so many ppl almost call PBF scared cos he only fought Hatton and not other WW. Im sure if it was Cotto he beat this weekend the same guys would have said he should be fighting Hatton.
LOL. I'm sure there would be people saying that ;D How can people say Floyd is scared to fight anyone when he started at 130 ??? I mean really, how many fighters start out at a weight in their career and even move up one class? Calling Floyd scared is beyond silly ::**
Re: What must PBF do to gain respect?
Floyd said I am not trying to fight any Welter Weight.
Do you people know why he does not want to fight any Welter Weights? Because he would get owned. He left the sport kissing Miguel Cotto's and Shane Mosley's @ss.
You folks want to hear it again? The video and his own words don't lie.
(I will be back gonna post the video). I thought it was great to hear him bow down to Miguel Cotto when Larry Merchant asked why don't he fight Cotto.

Cotto already beat the guy who beat oscar twice and he beat him while he was still active. Mosley didn't just fight Vargas to get in the picture, he beat Collazo pretty convincingly I might add, and he's the one who showed us that Hatton didn't belong at ww.
I'd be very surprised if Oscar steeped up and took a fight with Cotto.

Just cos Cotto won a decision against 36 yr old Mosely that could have gone either way does it mean he can beat a prime PBF, who is arguably a better fighter than Mosely ever was.

Boy, I hope you're right. If it does happen btw, and floyd wins, then he would have a legitimate win over a true ww in his prime and he would have beaten a fighter who actually has a chance.

Randall Bailey (best days behind him), DeMarcus Corley (had Cotto wobbling all over the place), Mohamad Abdulaev (disappointment since he turned pro), Ricardo Torres (limited slugger almost stopped Cotto), Gianluca Branco (come on now), Paul Malignaggi (no power, still went 12), Carlos Quintana (good fighter, but not elite), Oktay Urkel (unworthy challenger), Zab Judah (beat up Judah pretty good), Shane Mosley (great win over elite fighter)

Of course u are biased against PBF. Thats what im saying. U nitpick everything he does. Its got to a point where its all just bullshit now and ppl have stopped listening to what u have to say.
Re: What must PBF do to gain respect?
Well this all depends on the answer to this question .....
HOW MUCH RESPECT DOES FLOYD WANT?
If he wants to be recognized as "The Greatest Fighter of All-Time" then he has a TON of work to do at 147-154 and maybe even 160 and yeah I think he could fight there vs some smaller or slower guys.
...if he just wants to be one of the greats then he's pretty set right now but could really solidify his place in history by once and for all UNIFYING A DIVISION.

And if he unifies a division you'll say thats not enough he should win a MW championship.
So he does that against a lesser MW and u say he should have fought Pavlik.
So he does that and gets KTFO and u say he was overrated and not that great.
The point is he'll never impress guys like u cos u hate on him.

I disagree 100%. He needs to do ONE more thing. He MUST beat Cotto. That's it. Leonard high tailed it out of 140 to avoid Aaron Pryor so retiring after beating Cotto and then having people say he's ducking Williams is completely hypocritical, as Leonard NEVER cleaned out a division himself. And saying he even need step foot in the middleweight division shows you obviously have designs on holding a neverending bias against Floyd, for whatever reason is beyond me.
