Can't see this happening as Hatton is going to go back to Jnr.Welterweight. Too small to fight De La Hoya.
Maybe De La Hoya should fight someone abit bigger like Paul Williams or Antonio Margarito.
If Hatton had done better in his losing cause i would understand but 147 is not his class. I cant beleive Hoya wants this fight still. why not fight Cotto, that would also be megabucks , its just a better match up skill wise.
I wanna see ODLH fight either PW or Margarito, dont wanna see Hatton lose another fight due to overstretching himself.
DLH isn't going to fight Williams or Margarito. Those are relatively small names with a great chance of whipping Oscar's ass and basically ending his career. Cotto would be a big fight which just means more people watching Oscar lose, although that's the most logical fight for Oscar legacy wise and great for Cotto's pockets and profile.
Hatton should take it. He's got nowhere to go at 147. He has some decent fights at 140 but nothing huge. If Hatton drops down and loses to a Holt or Witter, he's done as a top fighter and he'll be viewed as a flash in the pan who upset older, better fighters than himself. If he beats them, it doesn't mean a whole lot. Oscar is big money and a chance at redemption should he somehow find a way to win. The win is unlikely but the money is for sure.
Of course he wants Hatton...His last legit win other then Mayorga a year and a half ago was in 2002 over Vargas...He was given a gift over Sturm and HE even knows it.....
So lets pick on the biggest name with the best chance of a win I can get....
Here we go why not call out Cotto?....Williams.....Cintron....Even Judah? at 147...and don't give me the money B***S**** because Oscar has more then he knows what to do with
Leave Oscar alone he has fought so many big fights he deserves a gimme once in a while god.

Look i mean look Floyd fought a give me and everyone praising him for this win right now.
Oscar has fought Tito, Mosley,Vargas,Sturm,Bernard,Moarga and Mayweather if anyone deserves a gimme it should be Oscar give me a reason why he should not fight Hatton and get another win.

If he needs a gimme why not just go all the way instead of looking for a guy he knows he has size over and power....lets get crazy and drop to 140 and fight Malinaggi?...F**** it need a win that bad lets fight Golden Johnson?.....
IMO it is nothing more then a bully move in need of an ego fix
Well because he is the man in boxing he can do what he wants so it is tough shit o well he has the power to do so he made a legacy and jsut wants to fight guys that are not elite o well i guess.
The man is in his late 30's his prime is long gone and he just not the man he was so he does not feel like taking a beating at his old age which could happen i mean god he not a young buck anymore.
OK you just backed up my point about him looking for an almost guarenteed win...and he is 34 not in his late 30's....I can name over a dozen guys who fought top level comp later in their careers and still are doing itQuote:
