I'm on the same boat as you Ouma, I've seen 'em lots of times on Solo Boxeo and he looked decent but nothing special. Suddenly now he's a world champ and has improved a lot.... Go figure ???

Yeah he seems pretty skilled but nothing really stood out, just seemed like a solid guy, but I didn't think of him as a champion type fighter

I guess he looked good against Nicky Cook. Know little about Cook though.

And Gamboa's next fight is confirmed - January 5th on the Malignaggi undercard. Opponent: Former World Champ and Juan Manuel Marquez-conqueror Freddie Norwood (42-2-1). Another decent choice for a guy who havent even been pro 9 months yet...
