Re: Provide Your Choices Here
I'll follow Mick's lead and focus to some extent on matchups. Just picked some favorites, maybe not all time P4P top ten guys although some are up there.
Mark Johnson-Great when he was at 112-115 earlier in his career. Would have some great matchups with Mijares, Castillo, Montiel, Arce, Darchinyan, Parra, Donaire, a lot of good matchups.
Tommy Hearns-Just cause I love watching him fight. As good as 147 is I think he'd clean it out. Not that he's better P4P than Mayweather necessarily but he's a horrible style matchup for Mayweather IMO. Fights with PBF, Cotto, Mosley, Oscar, Judah (ha, what happened to Zab's head ???), Margarito, etc.
Wilfredo Gomez-exciting fighter, great power. Could slot right in at 122, fights with Vazquez, Rafa, Caballero, Ponce, Molitor, Juanma
Meldrick Taylor-see if maybe he could have had a longer, more productive career. Might have had to take less chances, be more defensive. Great fighter to watch though, could fit in at 140-147
Ezzard Charles-haven't seen a ton, but what I saw I liked a lot. Can't think of too many great matchups at 175 now but could find something.
Re: Provide Your Choices Here
I like the idea of this thread but rather than resurrect I'd prefer to kill off 5 boxers.
I'd happily say goodbye for ever to John Ruiz, Zahir Raheem, Christian Mijares (just to annoy El Gamo), Gavin Rees and Dominic Guinn.

didn't you go on and on defending Raheem one time when I was talking about how boring he was.
I guess you could say its good you finally saw the light but I'm a bit dissapointed you weren't irrationally stubborn about it.
Everyone else I agree on, even Gavin Rees who I've never seen.

Great call Ouma....
What an exceptional fighter he was in his prime. Skills to throw move and not be hit.
Shit! How about 'Mi Vida Loca' Tapia? What a PPV guy he would have been would his prime have been today. Can you imagine those same potential matchups?

Damn you've got a long memory. You sound almost as petty and pedantic as myself.
I like you :D
Re: Provide Your Choices Here
Sugar ray Robinson at welter.Settle the discussions and finally get to see P4P king In person and give life to Ray at Welter.would he sweep Cotto,Margarito,Pvt.snowball,P.williams and god forbid....Mayweather?
Frankie Randall all the tools to be an elite Imo but was His own worst enemy.His demons were bred at a young age and first thing in rebirth..."Step the F!!!! away from the pipe and tonic Frankie"
Ike Ibeabuchi Agree with Mick here.What might have been if He didn't F!!! everything up and throw it all away with stupidity.Can you envision what he very well would have done to Wlad...and /or vice versa.Scary indeed
Azumah Nelson Only so we could go on that sweet ride all over again.and this time see everything 1st hand.At Jr.Light Nelson vs. Marquez (might bring him back so they could meet in primes) Vs. Pacquiao Or Guzman ??
Zack Padilla Personal favorite who was on a rooooL and a mission when Injury forced premature end of career.
Re: Provide Your Choices Here
I'd like to add some where the division's aren't that strong at the moment.
Heavyweight = Mike Tyson.
Light Middleweight = Terry Norris.
Featherweight = Salvador Sanchez.
Bantamweight = Carlos Zarate.
Light Flyweight = Now the Light Flyweight division is strong at the moment, but i would love to add Ricardo Lopez. So we could see Lopez vs Calderon, thats a dream match up for me.
