This could be bigger than expected in the Tampa area.Tarver is from Tampa and Lacy trains out of St.Pete's gym.THis could be big in St.Pete's times forum.Should definetly sell at least 25 tickets not five or six. ;)

I get the feeling that if Tarver fought literally in his mum's back yard with all his family there he'd still get booed and jeered on the way to the ring :-\Quote:

But boy, he sure looks tough, right? So let hype him up and pretend he was ever a decent fighter. Man these divisions must be weak!

Depends if Jeff has shaken off the rust from his last fight imo. If he has, then the fight would be competetive although, you're right,I'd still go for Tarver. I didn't think this fight had been confirmed though, because Lacy said he would never do business with Gary Shaw involved, ever.Quote:

Give the guy a break, he got his azz kicked by Calzaghe, tore his shoulder really bad and looked Rusty against Manfredo and put Manfredo on his azz which is something no one has ever done and he did it with his RIGHT hand... Who ever says inactivity dosent hinder performance is a little off
Tarver is old and was nothing more than bullshit to begin with and impeccable timing to get Jones jr on the slide
But how can you say with any real confidence that Lacy was just rusty against Manfredo, and that it wasn't irreperable damage done to him from his cuff injury, the loss to Calzaghe, his mindstate etc. I mean he has yet to beat a top fighter, let's not forget that... And timing or not, Lacy would have never EVER had a hope in hell against the Jones Jr that fought Tarver.Quote:

hahahaha ! both are shit and by beating each other they are not proving anything. Its going to be very boring, a low hit rate fight. If Tarver can catch lacy it may get intresting, but I can see a bore fest on the cards here. I think Tarver will beat Lacy but not in any form of style. I think Tarver needs to go after woods or Dawson, both of them will stop him though.
He's already quite short for a super middleweight. Is he even going to be able to get close to Tarver? I think at 5'9 he's too short for a light heavy.
