What about him is arrogant??? I've seen four of his fights and numerous interviews (he's Canadian so he actually gets a tiny bit of airtime up here on Russ Anber's show) and he's always come across as a pretty humble, down to earth guy. He's always saying supportive things about his brother as well, who is in jail. Most boxers are faily loud self-promoters, but I don't find Molitor to be arrogant at all.
Well first off I mean arrogant in a good way as I like boxers who believe they are the best.
But anyway reasons I call him arrogant are him saying he would retire Ponce De Leon when they fight. He called Rafael Marquez and Isreal Vazquez 'decent' brawlers who can't box and that he would completely outclass them.
When asked about the resurgance of Canadian talent recently with himself, Ngoudjo, Pascal, Bute etc he said he's the only real Canadian and all the others are just foreigners. I would LOVE to hear one of our English talents like Hatton say that of Amir Khan, Gavin Rees or Calzaghe, imagine the reaction :o :D
He says he can't watch heavyweight boxing becuase they are all absolutely S*** and when asked 'even Sam Peter', he laughed, 'What the Nigerian Nightmare, well yeah he's certainly a nightmare to watch!'
So anyways that's why I regard him as arrogant but as I say I think it's a good thing, he's fun to watch and to listen to, one of my favourite fighters.
He also has facial characteristics much like a young Arnold Schwarzenegger. No I don't mean he looks even remotely like Arnold what I mean is he has that same smile that looks both like a smile and a sneer so that even when he's laughing and joking he does so with a look of condescending contempt.
But I like him, a lot in fact, one of my top 10 favourite current fighters.
I've never heard him saying that sort of stuff, not that I disbelieve you or anything, I'm sure he said it. Most of it's true anyways, however, as a big fan of Molitor I do not want to see him in the ring with Marquez or Vasquez yet.
He's pretty much right about being the only real Canadian fighter, most (if not all) of the other guys were born elsewhere and now reside in Quebec, which might as well be a different country anyways - they've tried to break away from Canada before to form their own country. I've never felt any nationalistic need to cheer for a fighter from Quebec.

Vasquez and Marquez do beat him, Ponce De Leon is beatable for him.
