I have yet to warm up to this guy. Too young IMO but then again, sometimes Larry says some of the stupidest shiet and Jim ask's some of the stupidest questions considering he has been doing this for a very long time.
I much rather hear any of these guys before having to hear Teddy Atlas. He has analogies for phuking everything and nothing at the same time and when he get's into these analogies, he seems to prolong them just a little too much for my liking.
Yeah, I was a big fan of Teddy, but he's seemingly losing his mind and makes analogies about turning around in his chair. It's getting a bit tiresome already. He made some real noodlehead analogies on this past FNF's; they were so dumb I forgot them:-\ Something about a car and cheese grater or something:D I'll still take him over Kreepy Kellerman though; he looks like a serial killer in the making.
I actually don't mind Kellerman, the only thing is Merchant is one of my all time favorites.
He got all the jobs in the media because of his father. If his dad wasn't seriously connected in the media world we'd never have heard of him and more's the pity, he's shit.
All I can say is just look at him.I actually threw my cup of iced tea at him.Tarver vs Jones III I was up in the third tier but I'm sure he got a couple of drops on him.
Buggy eyes, annoying voice and a bobble head to go along with it - annoying. But he has his moments of decent commentary.
There are a lot of times where Foreman was proven wrong seconds after he saying something I was just watching Cotto-Torres and he just said that Cotto couldn't hurt Torres when the next punch Cotto landed(A right cross) laid Torres out flat and pretty much ended any chance he had of winning.
I think Kellerman is pretty good as an analyst. I know some people don't care too much about his personality, but I don't care too much about that. I also like the combination of Lewis, Kellerman, and Papa for HBO's Boxing After Dark. If you really listen to them, they sound unbiased and effectively and interestingly analyze what's going on in the ring.
Foreman was biased as all hell and would just say some crazy shit.
Foreman's call of Hopkins/Trinidad is a lesson in cheerleaderism.
Coz he sounds like Jim Roam.
I really liked Wednesday and Friday night fights on ESPN when Max was there. He really made the program interesting with his comments and knowledge on the sport. I think that it is only a matter of time for the fans to get accustomed to Max at HBO. He is a "new" face at the program and I think this may be part of a natural resistance of the people to change.
