This is true

Pac would try to swarm and get straifed with the same type of blows but by much stronger and physically larger men:-\
Re: The Lightweight Division...
I think Nates gonna end up fighting the winner of Julio Diaz vs. Ganoy (Don Kings choice)
I could also see Nate fighting Terron or Cherry.
But something tells me he'll fight Santa Cruz. ;)

You are right about him matching up better against Casa and D.Diaz, but Pac hits harder than Juan Diaz, even though Diaz might be physically stronger, and he's a more skilled fighter. He's got more skill than Kats as well. Those guys do present more difficult matchups, but if he uses his skill and speed, he can outbox them and still have the power to hurt them, even if he can't KO him. We saw how much Juan Diaz's workrate got reduced when he got in with a guy who could hurt him.
That being said, it he got into a pure war with Kats or Bull, he those guys would have a chance to beat him. still, I think Freddy can come up a with a gameplan to beat Bull or Kats, and if Manny can stick to it, he would win.

Campbell also has a very high out put plus he rolls with the punches very well. Pacquiao has never dealt with anyone like that before so it would be interesting to see how Pacquiao dealt with a slick fighter like Campbell.

I feel it wasn't the pain that stopped Juan working, it was the body to body physicality and opposition nof forces. Pac couldn't offer that at lightweight

True...Pac can't body up and infight with Juan the same way Campbell did, but getting countered with fast straight lefts could have the same effect. Pac couldn't fight the same way Nate fought and win. He would need a different gameplan.
Listen, I didn't just jump off the Baby Bull bandwagon. I like him, but he's a flawed fighter and he gets by mostly on heart and determination. I respect that a ton, but I rate Manny in a much higher class. Manny has flaws, too, but he's a much more complete fighter, enough so that he overcome the size disadvantage. He been in with a whole different caliber of boxers than Diaz and come out on top.
I'm not saying Diaz has no chance, but I would favor Pac in a close decision with Juan throwing more, but Manny landing much cleaner harder shots.
Re: The Lightweight Division...
I got it.... :D
Rematch!!!
Nate will re-match Almazbek...
Re: The Lightweight Division...
Urbano Antillon deserves a shot at a big belt. He would give Nate the hardest fight. I gotta see Casa's fight with Kats before I write him off as washed-up. I still would like to see Juan Diaz Vs. Kats, because they would make for a exciting matchup. Right now I rank the top lightweights like this:
1) Nate Campbell
2) Juan Diaz
3) Joel Casamayor
4) Urbano Antillon
5) Michael Katsidis
6) David Diaz
7) Julio Diaz
8. Amir Khan
9) Anthony Peterson
10) Edner Cherry
I think the other guys in the top 20 are bit overrated.
Hey I just noticed you cant do 8 with ) or you get a 8) lol
Re: The Lightweight Division...
Maybe he should fight Peden. He'd win easy now and it'd help his legacy beating the guy that ko'd him twice.
Im mainly saying this cos i like the BOMBER and i think it'd be good to see him get 1 last paycheck.

Nate should slam the door on that chapter and do natta's to bring up reflections on it by others. Its a lose everything fight and once again become a laughing stock IF lightning was to strick three times.Agree on Pedan though, always been a tough and gritty sort and with Nates rebounding ,Pedan looks stellar and maybe he can build up?Has he been active
I think the lightweights are stacked.Casa vs.Kats/Peterson looming and looking to break out/Khan is proven to be the real deal/Pac & Marquez?..coming up/Julio & Juan coming back ,Santa-Cruz deserves a big one etc. I think Casa will drowned Kats (hope Im wrong) And I would love to see J.Diaz Vs. Kats (styles) or Campbell Vs. Kats.
I think Pac will be in deeper waters than he may think here,I think he's slipped just a bit.
Dont sleep on Raheem either.....Haa. I do think He'll box Kid Diamond around.

Peden is shot. Last fight was against Renne Ganoy a while back and h got tko'd in 8. Think he is too small for 135, really neded to fight at 126 or 130.

So much for that then. Wasn't Peden the one who was almost beat to death in a home invasion by some guys with bats?Always seemed like a nice enough guy.Well he'll aleays have Nates skin on the wall but can we really call them (1st extreme stupidity) flucks or just part of Nate's hot and cold past?I went back pre Diaz fight and watched the F.Lorenzo fight and He looked god awful.Relly good to see him come around and get title win, great story.
Re: The Lightweight Division...
Well he'll fight Casa as they have a bit of a mutual appreciation thing going on. I've read a few articles with them complimenting each other so it wouldn't surprise me to see it.
The biggest threat to his thrown is the man he beat. I can't believe people are writing off Juan for one bad night. If he gets a rematch, I say he gets his belts back. He will have learned from this.

Yeah he did get attacked in his bed. Imagine waking up with guys in balaclavas hitting u with bats!!!
Robbie had great power for hs size, some massive KO's, but lacked a bit of defense. Had a good amateur career. Won a commonwealth gold medal
if that means anything.
