Maybe in a couple of years when Manny has worn down a bit. I think Khan need two or three more fights before he even fights one of the current lightweight champions. I also read somewhere that Khan's father is keen for a new contract with Warren.

It's a risk worth taking, the money could be HUGE... It's not easy to land a fight with MEGA Manny... Just ask Guzzy or Alex Arthur...
Even if you lose to Manny, your stocks will still rise as long as you give Manny a competitive fight and not fighting like a bum... And if your performance is so bad, you can always cook up a good excuse... like what Barrera did in their first fight...
Good points saddoboxer. Pacqiao's a huge name in the sport, if he beats DD then he'll own a belt, and due to his size and apparent loss of interest in the sport (the version of a couple years ago would have finished JMM) he may actually be the least dangerous belt holder for Khan at the weight. Of course that depends on his performance against DD, the new challenge may invigorate him. IMO if the fight comes off this year it'll be way to early for Khan, but won't be too damaging loss in the long run.
