Re: Hatton Vs Witter.Who wins? POLL,VOTE NOW.
Hatton wins by late KO, Witter would make Hatton look clumsy in the early part of the fight due to his style but Hatton will wear him down with pressure and body shots and will eventully get the KO late on no question.
Re: Hatton Vs Witter.Who wins? POLL,VOTE NOW.
Hatton needs to silence the doubters by beating Witter which I think he will do on an UD and then give Collazo that rematch.

I'd like to see the Witter match, but the Collazo rematch will never happen.
Collazo proved awkward for Ricky and very nearly proved his undoing.
However, since that night collazo has stalled, not looked impressive and been beaten convincingly by the Sugar man.
Not financially beneficial, which is all that matters.

I'm with Laing, Hatton himself doesn't believe he can win so I'm going for Witter by lat stoppage.
Re: Hatton Vs Witter.Who wins? POLL,VOTE NOW.
would want hatton and would expect hatton to win.
Just as much as hatton doesnt like fighting opponents who stay on the back foot, witter would not be comfortable with boxing hatton at arms reach for 12 rounds, that in itself is quite impossible to avoid when fighting ricky (unless youve paid off joe cortez to make sure otherwise)
Eventually the endless body shots would take their toll on witter, who would take a standing 8 in the 7th and eventually either get pulled out by the ref or his corner late on!!
Hatton by TKO in the later rounds
Re: Hatton Vs Witter.Who wins? POLL,VOTE NOW.
Witter would take the early rounds but Hattons would slow him down with body shots and he would be to strong for Witter.Witter is getting on aswell even tho he has'nt had to go in the trenches alot if at all,Hatton will overwhelm him and win on points. People seem to forget when Hatton got ko'ed against Floyd Mayweather it was'nt at his normal weight and although PBF is'nt a massive puncher he is a hurtfull and very accurate puncher .Hattons chin has always been very good at 140 so i carnt see him getting ko'ed against Witter.
Only thing is if Witter can get into Hattons head like Mayweather did and make Ricky loose his head he will be in trouble if that happens.
If Hatton had of won PBF would he have all these people backing Witter he stepped up a weight and against the best p4p in the world and lost. There is no shame in that,he fought his heart out that night aswell. Why are people so fast to right him off ???

Bingo Donny, Hatton by KO
Re: Hatton Vs Witter.Who wins? POLL,VOTE NOW.
Hatton either UD or late stoppage.
Witter tends to fold under real pressure.
Bottled it against Judah, almost folded against N'Dou, Kotelnik and Lynes.
All good fighters, but they don't bring anywhere near what Ricky Hatton at 140 brings to the table.
Hatton would be too much for him.....unless Witter somehow caught him early, but then again Hatton's chin is very solid at 140.
Hatton UD or late stoppage. ;)

That's a ridiculously unfair comparison.
Magee failed to win the British, European and unsurprisingly never even fought for a "genuine" world title.
Hatton fought Magee in his 29th fight, it was the 7th defence of his (laughable) WBU title having 2 years previous been British champion.
Zab Judah was the unbeaten IBF "world" champion who was ALL the rage at the time of facing Witter.
Witter fought him on a weeks notice, had never been past 8 rounds and never even fought for a British title - let alone mixed in European or world class.
To make it perfectly clear - Hatton was the favourite over Magee. Witter was a HUMONGOUS underdog ;)

Those fights were at similar times.
But If you'd like additional proof of this point, you can see Hatton dredge it out with wins over Urango, Tackie and Collazo.
Junior has looked shaky in himself every time he's not having things his own way.

I'd rep you if I could. Hatton's 'work rate' is one of the biggest myths going around at the moment. His work rate has been well down since the Kostya fight (compubox proves it) and unless you're a past your best veteran out of your natural weight he is unlikely to take you out with one shot. Which is why I'd pick Hatton to make it awkward and ugly til the late rounds when Witter should find his range, maybe not a KO since Ricky should be able to take the punishment at 140 if he has anything left.

That's my opinion of the fight too.
Pre-Kostya I was pretty confident Hatton would beat Witter. But now i'm pretty confident Witter would stop him.

I think Hatton is a terrific fighter.
Your comparison is rubbish. The circumstances are completely different. Look over it for yourself if you don't believe me.
Re: Hatton Vs Witter.Who wins? POLL,VOTE NOW.
htton by decision. im curious to see how htton looks in his bouncebck though. im hoping ricky does number on lcno nd then steps bck intot he mi with few big fights.
witter is good but not s good s htton t his best.
this keybord is fucked!!
Re: Hatton Vs Witter.Who wins? POLL,VOTE NOW.
a few years back i think hatton would have one won, but i think witter has really come of ages since then after winning the wbc belt, his ounches are crisp and powerfull with good hand spped, footwork, he's always had good skill and seems now to be a bit more mentally geared up................right now it would be much more of a pick em
witter, tko
