Re: *News Flash* - GBP inks "Hayemaker"
I know people ain't giving Haye much of a chance against Wladimir but i do, I made prediction about 2 years ago i think it was, that Haye would win title within 2 years and he did. I have always liked Haye, sure he has flaws that can be exploited. But he is a damn exciting fighter that can punch, and if he can land one of those trademarks right hands on Wladimir then its lights out for Wladimir, but theres also flip side to that coin well. Because if Wladimir lands one of his trademark right hands on Haye its lights out for Haye as well.
But i am hoping Haye beats Wladimir because no offense to Wlad but he has been so boring in his last few fights, i appreciate the sweet sciene but i really don't see the "sweet sciene" in clinching your opponent like an octopus, and just pecking away with left jabs being too over cautious, im not saying thats bad thing for Wlad of course he has to be cautious because of his weak chin, but that doesn't mean i have to enjoy watching it which i don't. So i hope Haye KO's Wlad so we can see some excitement in Heavyweight division again.

I'm with you on Haye beating Wlad, me and you are the only ones that have said that. I agree with everything else in that post aswell, especially the last sentence ;)

GOLDEN BOY PROMOTIONS SIGNS “THE HAYEMAKER”
BRITISH SUPERSTAR DAVID HAYE TO BE EXCULSIVELY PROMOTED BY GOLDEN BOY IN THE UNITED STATES
LOS ANGELES, May 27 – One of the most charismatic athletes to hit boxing in recent memory, London’s David Haye not only packs a huge punch and outstanding boxing skills, but also possesses the willingness to take on all comers and the ability to capture the imagination of fight fans around the world - traits that have led him to 20 knockouts in his 21 victories and the undisputed cruiserweight world championship. As he now embarks on a quest to become Heavyweight Champion of the World, “The Hayemaker” has signed with Golden Boy Promotions, the premier promotional company in boxing, as his exclusive promoter in the United States.
Golden Boy will also enter into a strategic alliance with Haye’s newly formed promotional company, Hayemaker Promotions, in similar fashion to past alliances with fighter-promoters it has worked with.
“Golden Boy Promotions is a powerful and forward-thinking company that is in this sport to protect the well-being of boxers,” said David Haye. “One of their main goals is to empower the boxer which is something I believe in too. Golden Boy is the perfect company for me to sign with in order to advance my career in and at the same time help to improve the state of boxing with my own promotional company. That is my ultimate intention as both a world champion boxer and a promoter.”
“Golden Boy Promotions has been waiting a long time for the right opportunity to get involved with the heavyweight division and in signing David Haye, that time has come,” stated Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar de la Hoya. “David is not only a great champion but with his personality and charisma, I know that he will take the heavyweight division by storm. He will give this once glorious division a much needed facelift and give fight fans around the world heavyweight fights to look forward to just like the great Muhammad Ali once did. All heavyweights out there should beware as there is a new sheriff in town.”
“David and I have always strived to progress his career with the control that independence gives and to form this alliance with Golden Boy is a dream relationship that needed no thought,” said Haye’s manager and trainer Adam Booth. “The support, professionalism and penetrating insight into the top levels of boxing that Golden Boy possesses is exactly what David's career needs now. We are so excited about this relationship and can't wait to get started.”
“I am delighted to have David Haye as part of our team and our alliance with him and his promotional company will help to expand our presence globally,” said Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer. “We are happy that David has formed his own promotional company as, like him, we at Golden Boy believe in the empowerment of fighters.”
After winning the WBC, WBA, WBO and Ring Magazine cruiserweight titles with stirring knockouts of Jean-Marc Mormeck (TKO7) and Enzo Maccarinelli (TKO2), the 27-year-old Haye (21-1, 20 KOs) has even loftier goals in mind. He relinquished his cruiserweight titles earlier this year in order to move up in weight and take on the best the heavyweight division has to offer. Haye, whose heavyweight debut in April of 2007 resulted in a one minute and 45 second stoppage of top 15 contender Tomasz Bonin, has set his sights on World Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko, and with the heavyweight division in dire need of a superstar on a level with the greats of the past, “The Hayemaker” is eager to give the fans and media what they’ve been asking for.
Haye’s first fight under this new promotional contract will be announced at a later date.

He's an antagonist.
You know the 'the movie was ok but the book was much better'
Well he's
that guy
I think it's beautiful.
Actually a couple years ago I wrote many long and elaborate postings about De La Hoya's Satanic links but this was when he was loved by everybody.
Now there are many who hate him so I just usually keep quiet about him.
It's Hatton and Mijares that really grate me.
Even seeing Hatton's fat Pat Butcher mum and his annoying dad in the crowd bugged me. My dislike of him is becoming completely irrational. I couldn't even listen to his post fight interview, although I'm sure when the Sky team interviewed him he would have made a point to say how humble he was and they would have made a point to tell him that's why they all love him so much.
I've got to the point where I instinctively hiss at the screen when he's being interviewed and a couple of times have caught myself about to spit at him.
Yeh his 'humbleness' is annoying at times. It's kinda like a comedian repeatedly telling you he's funny.
And his Mum does look like Pat Butcher actually. His dad is an annoying Midget.
Still he's my favourite fighter, Always has been, always will be!
