Well then perhaps you could provide some in depth analysis of Lopez's and de Leon's boxing ability that leads you to believe the latter will "smash" the former. I don't believe it will be that easy, but perhaps you see something I do not.

Lopez can punch. And he knows it. I believe that he feels he's a big puncher than Deleon. And will try and prove it. And that will be his downfall. Lopez obviously has way better boxing skills than Deleon. But I can't see him boxing for all 12 rounds. It's not him. At some point in the fight he will try and trade with Deleon. And it will cost him the fight
I'll give credit where credit is due....
But honestly from watching the kid fight nothing there leads me to believe he's ready for World Class.
It could be just me but any prospect/contenders with less then 20-25 fights depending on the quality of opposition. I'm REALLY skeptic about them facing World Class oppo.
(In case your gonna ask how many fights of his I have I'll gladly answer your question when I get home as I don't think I can remember off the top of my head) :)
I must sound like a broken record but let's step back a little and see how many times fighters are too quickly faced with top opposition and or are too quickly hyped by the fans?
Bojado, Grant, Bautista, Yoan, Vargas I can go on and on....
If JuanMa pulls it off more power to him and he moves up into a place where he want's to be but if he loses the road back will be much longer then the 1st time around.
DPDL by TKO.
Good stuff Mick and VD. I think Juanma has plenty of "ring experience" (extensive amateur career, olympics, professional career) to know how to solve Ponce. The results of the fight for Juanma all depend on being patient/not engaging in a wild slugfest and watching carefully those wild and wide punches of de Leon. If he does these two things well then victory will follow for Juanma.
seriously, ok Lopez is the better technical boxer, but his defense can be leaky as it was evident against Hugo Dianzo a bum with a 31-11-1 (15 KO's), and well he was able to hurt Lopez and move him away, so he can be hit, and IMO if De Leon catches him, well that can be all she wrote, i'm not sayin Lopez has no shot, but people here in PR are writing of De Leon when honestly the underdog is Lopez, not the WBO champion
Hey TerribleMorales , you know What ? Is true Juanma defense can be leaky , you said it , " can be " , but he must had corrected that posibility , but for conclusion if Juanma lose this shot , he will learn of this lose , You learn when you lose , if you get that , you will surpass anything on your way.....................;D
