JAPANESE FLYWEIGHT CHAMPIONS AVOIDING DONAIRE I don't care what their resumes say. They never really encounter someone like Nonito.
Donaire is
the man to beat in that division. Imo, Sakata and Naito should be the ones who's eager to fight him.
I think the KO of Darchinyan really scared a lot of these little guys off. That was a 1 punch KO equal to that of any other division. Add Doniare's all around boxing skills then look at some of the stiffs these Japanese fighters face and the answer is there for you.
Avoid Doniare if at all possible
Lol!
I guess Sakata and Naito doesn't like to be called "the man".
Whats in a name :dontknow:
When your chin is on the line ;D
Re: What do you guys think about the Flyweights?
I enjoy watching the Flyweight division. It's a great division.
Re: What do you guys think about the Flyweights?
It's funny how everyone is on Nonito but hardly anyone was mentioning him before the Vic fight:you know who you are. And fighting Parra and Pong in his backyard are tougher challenges than beating Vic. Nonito is good but I find it hard to believe anyone is ducking him.

God I hope you're not talking about me. I saw Nonito fought live against Harutyunyan where I used to live. In fact, I'm in Temecula right now (you can have Saddo check my IP address or something). He and his fiancee were regular chatters over at Pacland. He was heavy underdog against Darchinyan. I remember some of us here were mocking at me for predicting Donaire to win that fight. In fact I was so confident he would pull an upset, that I made a "name change" bet with our fellow member Eagle. I'm sure he remembers that too.
And oh,.. they're ducking him alright. ;)
Re: What do you guys think about the Flyweights?
Im gonna go catch me some fights. In your guys opinions who had the sweetest style out of all the flys? One that could float like a butterfly and sting like a bee?
i need some names.
*ducks out of heated argument*
Re: What do you guys think about the Flyweights?
I love the 112 pound division, its one of the 8 originals so its got a great history to it.
It was more fun when there was a potential Darchinyan/ Arce fight being thrown. At the moment there are some great little fighters there. Sakata is one of the toughest around & I don't think he has slowed at all. Donaire has both power & skill. Narvaez is very talented but needs to spit or get of the pot. Theres also guys like Kameda, Vasquez & Kaovichit to throw into the mix. Its a very solid division IMO

I had Donaire winning as well. Not by knock out. But I had him winning. I had seen him fight on the Rafael Marquez-Silence Mabuzza 1 under card. I thought he had the style and speed to beat the crude Vic Darchinyan. Here's the link. Post 9.

Couldnt give a shit less? or do you follow them as with any other weight class?
Also what do you guys think of the current Flyweight Champs? I've watched Nonito Donaire fight before, but not so much of the other two Japanese champions. I've read that they been playing duck and hide, do they really not stand that much of a chance against Donaire?
I'll watch any 2 boxers duke it out. Don't matter how much they (don't) weigh. Watching 2 Flyweights go at it will teach you a thing or 3 about speed.
