Castillo vs Corrales II because of the weight thing left Chico at a serious disadvantage.
Was a wipeout IMO

Marciano - Walcott
Bonecrusher - Witherspoon
Re: Fights Where The 1st Fight Was Competitive But The Rematch Wasn't.
Chavez vs. Meldrick Taylor
Some say the first fight was dominated by Taylor, but somebody did all that damage to Taylor even without the controversial stoppage. Taylor swallowed so much blood and didn't he fracture his orbital? The second fight should not have occurred. That was a shame.

The first fight wasn't that competitive either. I thought Hagler got robbed.
Well i had Hagler winning but it was still a competitive fight, its not like it was the worst robbery ever it was close.

The rematch taking place was fine, but it was about 3-4 years too late.
Taylor took a horrendous beating, but was back in the ring a few months later, and still fighting at a pretty high level if he wasn't what he once was. Taylor's team never should've allowed him to fight Norris. That was an awful choice.
The rematch was competitive too. Taylor started out well, but after the action-filled 6th round, his legs weren't ever the same.

Danny Williams v Julius Francis
RJJ v Griffiths
JCC v Meldrick Taylor
Re: Fights Where The 1st Fight Was Competitive But The Rematch Wasn't.
One that sprang to mind was Brodie V Chi.
Life and death first time around and then Brodie got a shelling in the return.

Re: Fights Where The 1st Fight Was Competitive But The Rematch Wasn't.
Why is Chavez-Taylor 2 being mentioned?
It was a competitive fight, and a pretty entertaining one too.
Re: Fights Where The 1st Fight Was Competitive But The Rematch Wasn't.

Interesting to see that the scorecards for Fenech V Nelson 2 were even after 7 rounds. Actually Fenech only had 2 bad rounds in that fight, the 1st and 8th. The result was conclusive though.
That is an accurate take on the fight , and as for Brodie Chi 2 , Brodie gets eaten alive.
