I definitely think Pacquaio boxing skills are being underated, but it is very tough for me to see him overcoming almost half a foot in height disadvantage, and against a guy he can't hurt.
That being said, he is Manny so I would give him a 25% chance of winning by UD. Him and Roach know what they are doing.
Agree. It's PAC and his Team's call if they gonna go for the Hoya fight.
Re: From ESPN: Hoya vs. PAC in the works
WTF? De La Hoya is much the bigger man, and has actually fought (though not very successfully) at middleweight.
Might as well throw a tent over the ring and have clowns for ring girls. 'Cause that's all it would be..... a damn circus.
Re: From ESPN: Hoya vs. PAC in the works
I think Manny makes a valid point in regards to Steve Forbes though, I think Manny would beat Steve's ass down in any weight class, he may not KO him, but he would outbox Steve all night long, and he feels that Steve was able to land punches on OScar, stay in there with OScar even though he was getting outboxed.
Re: From ESPN: Hoya vs. PAC in the works
Well if this fight pushes through and even if PAC gets sparked out in a second or less. He will be remembered not only as the P4P best but also the P4P best in terms of COURAGE!!!

your way too worried, no way pac gets sparked out in a round or two. believe me freddy knows what his getting pac into. he won't put pac in if he didn't really believe pac can win.
Re: From ESPN: Hoya vs. PAC in the works
:oI just saw in a PACLAND poll, seems like nearly 75% of fans wants to see this fight. :o
I guess PAC, Roach and the fans want it. I rest my case:-\

PAC is an option now for Hoya since Tito won't go down to 154.

Why should Tito go down to 154? They both fought at 160. And years have a way of making getting down to a certain weight that much harder. I say hold the fight at 160. But going down to meet Pac? That's just a bit much of a stretch to me.

Cant see it Hatton is there is the same size and only one weight away.
If Hatton beats Paulie he will fight Pacquaio.
I see a Hatton v Pacman fight happening too, DLH cannot make 147lb again and even if he did i don't think Pac would last to long anyway. DLH is not that washed up that he couldn't knockout Manny Pacquaio.

I guess Team Hoya offered Tito a fight at 154 but Team Tito said "no" or "can't". If Hoya will go down to 147 to fight PAC then Hoya considered PAC as a valuable opponent that he's willing to make concessions.
If Hoya will fight Cotto, what weight do you think they will fight? 147 or 154 or a catchweight?

I saw it under one of the topics. Somebody made a poll.

I don't honestly see Cotto at 154. He's too short. I think Cotto's one of these guys that's perfectly suited for 147 for as long as he wants to fight. Truth be told, I don't mind the occasional fighter jumping one or two weight classes, but this recent trend of fighters jumping several weight classes is starting to get old for me.
