Without a doubt, our women are the finest ;). Just go to any of the malls in Puerto Rico, specifically Plaza de las Americas, and sit on a bench, and you will see what I mean.:o By the way, being from Youngstown and to classify you politically correctly, does your heritage make you a Mexirican-American? ;D

I thought Oscar won the fight too. But I can't help but feel a sense of vindication when Trinidad was announced the winner. I agree that Oscar out boxed Tito but I HATE it when fighters OBVIOUSLY run from a stalking fighter.

Puerto Rico does have some fine women. I like the fact that 85% of them are straight whores. The easily beats the 50% of Mexican whores. The best are the flip women. There at 95%. Now that a great percentage.

Damn bro... I can see where the nickname comes from. Some family friends have the same situation... father Mexican, mother Puerto Rican. In my own case, my youngest brother's wife is Mexican. She's not that much into boxing, but she's keenly aware of the huge rivalry. There's a lot of nationalistic pride in both countries.
Well I live in PR and visited Mexico a couple of times and of course been in the states a bunch of times. What I do get from my experience in the web and the states specially in Texas, is that the only rivalry betwee Mex and PR is in the boxing ring and MEXs and PRs living in the states. I don't anyone from PR that had anything against a Mexican and when I went to Mexico they were all way fucking great people.

I didn't know you conducted a sociological study on the sexual tendencies of Mexican and Puerto Rican women. Please email your dissertation on it. It would be a fascinating read, I am sure.
Re: The Rivalry: Mexico vs. Puerto Rico
One thing I have noticed is that there aren't really any trilogies between Mexican-Puerto Rican fighters. That is an interesting fact.
Re: The Rivalry: Mexico vs. Puerto Rico
These type threads can tend to be mindfields........post at your own parrell :coldnew:
Re: The Rivalry: Mexico vs. Puerto Rico
Okay so would it be perfect timing to say i don't get what all the fuss is about with Mexican/ Puerto Rican rivalries?
Seriously, what is it all about
Re: The Rivalry: Mexico vs. Puerto Rico
Spreading the Good Word on all the Cotto V. Margarito threads....
Hearing all the Tony haters is getting old, even if (a big if) he loses he is gonna die in that ring. This man has been waiting and been ducked for a long time and you think he's gonna go in there and just roll over.
Everyone in here must be a Rocky fan, and I can already see Tony telling his wife/trainer/mother/passed away brother "To beat me, he's gonna have to kill me, and to do that he's gonna have to be willing to die himself"...was Rocky really Mexican and not Italian???? Cuz that has Mexican fighter written all over it.
I dont doubt Cotto is willing to war, he has been in some, but I dont know he's willing to die. The countdown said it perfectly, between Mexican and Puerto Rican fighters and fans the big differance is that Puerto Ricans are allowed to box alittle more...let me translate that for you, when Tony takes Cotto's shots and keeps moving forward, Cotto will run/box (ill use those interchangeably), hell Cotto ran against Mosley an old Mosley, a Mosley that wanted nothing to do with Antonio Margarito!
Yes Cotto can out box Margo, but try boxing when you have a Tornado of well over 1000 punches a fight after you. Shit the most specialized, highly trained, super killers in any armed forces would succumb to shear volume of enemies after them, why do you think this will be different, ya Cotto will out box him, but Tony will outwork him. Tony has one of the highest stamina levels in the WW division. His production/workrate is wayyyyyy out of the norm for a Cotto opponent.
Cotto's higher level of boxing technique and ability will allow him to land many shots to the body and face, granted. What is he gonna do when he faces a man who takes bombs to the grill (Cintron) and laughs at him. Could he have stood up to those bombs? Could he have walked through it and f***ing laughed!
Yes Yes we're all mystified by the strong silent cotto who never smiles, keeps his composure in every situation, pushes the smaller man around and keeps moving forward, very imressive. BE afraid of the guy that laughs in your face, beats your ass, and begs you to get up so he can continue to whoop your ass some more.
Make no doubt about it my friends we are in for a classic, and I give all the respect in the world to Cotto for his ability, athleticism, and dedication to his craft he is one of my favorite fighters, and with this post I am not saying that Tony has it in the bag or anything close to that, a part of me is afraid for Saturday to get here. We all seen the soft underbelly of Antonio Margarito on the Countdown, and no matter how badass you are, you must have felt his pain over the loss of his brother, and if he doesnt win this weekend who knows what that might do to him, a loss here would be hard, so I worry for him.
But do not discount Tony because he will die in there. He will put it all out there for himself, his family, his country, and his fans and even if he doesnt pull it off this weekend, he will show more heart in defeat than Cotto can in Victory. He will have more fans than ever before. I know many of you know this to be true, Margo fans or not. He's gonna shock many, including his own fans and followers. Spread some rep if you believe it too. Not for me, but just to back up my man Margo.
Oh and when all you haters/non-believers change your minds, theres plenty of room on this band wagon, welcome.
Re: The Rivalry: Mexico vs. Puerto Rico
And if he loses join our Cotto band wagon ;D
