Re: Which is the strongest division in boxing today?
Lightweights are doing what we all wanted the welterweights to do. Which is fight each other. The Welters have had so many opputunities and talent to fight each other but becase its filled with people afraid of each other no one wants to fight.
Trully the two fighters who were not afraid in Welter are fighting each other this weekend...and its gonna be fight of the year!

I still think that 168 while is has some stars is a rather shallow division at least in comparison with lightweight.
Maybe but they have some great prospects in addition to the guys up top which I think factors into the division past the top 10. Andre Ward, Andre Dirrell, Karo Murat (who reminds me a lot of Abraham), Buddy McGirt Jr (who I think still has potential), Carl Froch (who I don't think has a lot of potential) and there are some others. I think it's a better division then light heavyweight definitely at the top and the prospects.

Right now I think Lightweight as there are fights that will definately give clarity to who's where. By this time next year I think that WW will be back in that position.
I just feel that it's bit more deep with Pac just stepping up and JMM getting there also Guzman it does have the talent to move up but until the fights happen I put it there for now.

I've got no problems moving it down, If I'm honest I put the list together in like 10 minutes didn't give it tooo much thought and just went with it.
I could def. see your point and it makes sense... After thinking it over I'd def. move Light Heavys down around the Cruisers.

Check out my updated list, now lightweights are in 5th.
The thing with the Lightweights is that fighters like JMM, Guzman, Soto etc. etc. have yet to fight there so until they fight there I can't move them up once the fights happen I'm sure it will catapult to the top.
Then again it looks like the Super Middles are also starting to set up the fights but at least the fighters are there they aren't waiting for anyone to move up.
