The sad thing is he could demolish Hopkins and he would still be behind Calfage.

Ahhh... As much as I love Pavlik and hate Calslappy's style he's earned where he is.
I watched the Lacy fight again the other night and was again awed at the skill in which he dismantled Lacy. He was using his left hand well and many were far from slaps.
He's held the title for ten years and holds the title at LHW as well... Can't really argue with that although I'd like to;D

Yeah I was kinda forced to respect him too.
I liked him when he was an up and comer and for the 1st couple years of his reign but then he started doing what Hatton did with the WBU belt and Warren kept getting him easy defences . I lost interest in him around this point but then got interested again when he fought Lacy , Kess and Hop and now Id say that he is my favourite boxer right now. Cant argue with what hes done.

Now if he beats Hopkins and Calzaghe I would have to put him in the #1 - #2 spot.
Re: New Ring Magazine Rankings
Calzaghe wants no part of him but he'll beat Hopkins

I think they have number 1 and 2 the wrong way round IMO
Pav #1... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I suppose box rec put alot of emphasis on unbeaten records hence the top two are unbeaten and I think if Cotto won last week then hed be up there too .
To my observation in a long time, yes they do rate fighters higher with unbeaten records. Im not too critical about it but it makes me think where does the GREATS fare if they do this kind of rating system.
