If you were the ring doctor of Clottey-Judah, would you stop the fight?

I have no doubt in my mind that he wanted the fight stopped. The doc stated that he thought Zab could continue, but Zab himself claimed he couldn't see. Obviously the doc HAS to call the fight off if a fighter is impaired like that. So any disappointment from Zab at that point was just an act.

I knew judah wanted the fight stopped when the doctor asked him how many fingers do you see. He looked in a hurry to quit.

Yep, that cut was enough to stop the fight right there. Also, I agree with most posters that judah not even knowing how bad the cut was...tried to pull a fast one on the doc with the finger count hoping to win on the cards. That was the quickest answer I have ever seen, that was incorrect. If a person wants to continue, and is confused regarding how many fingers they see...they'll pause and try to atleast figure it out. Long enough for the doc to go...sorry Charlie, you're out.

Either way the fight would, and should have been stopped. Bit of shame IMO on Judah with the performance tho.

In spite of my open dislike for Judah, he showed some great skill in that fight in those early rounds, for he is a talented fighter. This can't be questioned. I just don't like the guys attitude and have little respect for his heart and theatrics.

i think im right in saying the doctor cant stop the fight , he can only direct the referee , who has sole power to stop it ???
but Zab was going to get beaten anyway.

If Zab could see I let continue and see how it goes, not worse cut ever.

John Duddy finished his fight v Schmit and cut worse there

Knew the fight was slipping so tried his hands with the judges, a good decision
