Bowling, hide and go seek, marco polo, karaoke, masturbate, eat, smoke,inject heroin, eat feces like plop, throw stuff and try to find it, ride a motorcycly{not for long though} go fishing{kind of} pick your nose.

O.k., fuck you guys. I'm starting a new thread:

Have had a hearing problem since I was a kid, would enjoy a life without sound or the preception of sound in my head (never quite in there) and I have tried going without sight for a few weeks. Makes getting around a new place kinda hard, but not impossible.


Computers make it easier to comunicate with the out side world (touch typing) so not a problem there either.

Do not see a problem if I lost one or the other or both.

But thats just me.

I can watch porn without sound. I'd choose to be deaf.

I wouldn't mind being Helen Keller so long as my asshole works.

You know in all seriousness it would barely make any difference to my life if I became deaf.

I don't listen to music, I don't watch tv, I don't like to talk to people.

If I was deaf the only change I can forsee is I wouldn't have to answer the phone to anyone any more and could ignore my mum when she tried to make conversation.

I'm trying to think of the negatives but it seems all good to me.

Thats a tough question to answer. I love my music, but ultimately I think my need to read wins over the need for sound. Films can have subtitles and I can continue to read the stuff I like.

I live in a very noisy country and a bit of peace and quiet might be what I need. Not sure about forever though.

I'd have to say Hearing.You can be visualy stimulated,read lips.Also a big difference if it is from birth or happens after you have already experienced years of both?I would need to see.I heard once....no pun :bucktooth:...that when you can not hear that you loose some sence of taste and smell as well ???Not sure if thats accurate.

I was at a red light the other day and saw a guy down the street walking along with one of those feeling poles used to assist blind people.everystep he took he had to stop and reach out with his hand ,clearly blind.He thought he was at the entrance of a Rite-aid drugstore (about 2o feet away)and instead was trying to walk into one of those steel fences that surrounds a trash dumpster.That shit was messed up,I drove up and trying to be respectful but not wanting to see this dude get run over or picked up by a trash removal truck I asked, "You need a hand bud" ?.....not missing a beat he say's "No thanks ,I have both of mine,besides it's a pretty day out"....??

That stopped me in my tracks!!Humor was intact ,dude obviously had "seen" something I had not.

A few years ago this Danish woman won a lot of medals at the winter paralympic games in biathlon. I kid you not - they give rifles for blind people.

(she got a fair bit of attention as Denmark genuinely sucks at the winter olympics)
