Unforutntley there ais a guy from my town who claimed to have killed Jon Benett Ramsey a while back and he was a really sick perophile. Anyways, he lied but he was plannning to og to Thailand and get a sex change operation apparently you can get them for liek 500 bucks there ??? I think if you stay away from Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket then your'll avoid the majority of ladyboys. There are still some out in the country but they don't look anything like a woman.
You can spot a ladyboy pretty easily - they wear too much make-up and there voices are harsh.
Pattaya is nicknamed Sin City and has 5000 bars - never been there as it doesn't appeal to me.
Bangkok has different quarters like most city's and is a fun place but the smog and humidity is almost unberable.
Never been to Phuket in South Thailand, has great beaches same as the island Koi Samui but was the area that the Tsunami hit so never fancied going there.
I went up north and off the tourist trail as I wanted to see real Thailand and I wasn't disappointed - the people are friendly and its laidback.
