Give Lyakhovich a shot. He will prevail against Haye.
I think Haye will ultimately fall short at heavyweight. Put him in there with Toney and be done with this nonsense. Seriously.
You know I do. Haye can beat Rahman and he can beat the likes of Maskaev. He will have fits against Toney though. Toney is one decent fight off of a crack at a belt and I think Haye is the perfect build up fight for it. Of course, I want Toney to fight Haye. He would make Haye look stupid. Not that it takes much.
To be honest i haven't been impressed with James Toney in a long time he was outboxed by someone like Samuel Peter now ask yourself does Samuel Peter have the skills of David Haye or the speed etc ? Samuel Peter is a slow plodding Heavyweight.........
I didn't see James Toney against Hasim Rahman but i did see his last fight before that and he looked utter rubbish and couldn't lift the pace i used to enjoy watching James Toney but i think he should of retired atleast 2 years ago.
The first fight against Peter Toney won pretty handily. Despite what the judges said. The second Peter fight Toney looked off big time. And he was. Apparently Toney was fighting with an injured leg there. Peter did win that though, yes. Where did you see the Batchelder fight? I wouldnt mind seeing that, Ive not come across that fight anywhere.
Toney should have retired. But he hasnt won his belt yet. And it seems he wont stop until he does.
And Haye has quick hands but he has never faced anybody with the slipping skills Toney has. Haye has seldom fought at heavyweight either. And he hasnt proven he can fight 12 hard rounds. Haye is unproven at heavyweight. As for all of this calling out Wlad nonsense...just fight somebody. Beat somebody and then do some talking.
Toney would school Haye and thats why Haye talks up Rahman. Sad really.
Haye's contradicting himself with all the justifuing opponents he's trying to do. Says he doesn't want someone washed up yet targets Rahman. He was on Setanta and they asked him why target Wlad so much, and not Vitali? Rather than stating the obvious that Wlad is the champ he started digging further by saying that one of Vitali's last fights was against a professional golfer, neglecting to mention that the very same proffessional golfer KTFO Wlad.
Haye is obviously a bit stupid. Has a lazy tongue and is able to slip words off easy enough. But his arguments are flawed and show a complete lack of intelligence. Bring on Rahman!
Haye is a plonker. He should at least be knocked out by someone better than Rahman.
I was on the live chat with Dan Rapheal over on ESPN a little while ago and someone asked the question if James Toney or Rahman was going to be his next fight and he said it is definitely not gonna be Toney, however he did say Rahman is still in the cards. Thats all he said though. Not sure how reliable Dan Rapheal is, I don't read much of his stuff.
Haye still seeking foe!

Former unified cruiserweight champion-turned-heavyweight David Haye believes heavyweight boxers refuse to fight him because "they know it's going to be their last fight." He has yet to find an opponent for his debut fight at the O2 Arena in London on November 15th. Haye told Setanta Sports News that he was in talks with four heavyweight boxers for the fight later this year and that one unnamed boxer had backed out. "He agreed the money, he agreed the fight, the date; everything was sorted. Obviously he's gone home and watched some DVDs of me in action and made a U-turn. He thought I was just a cruiserweight champion but he's watched me in action and thought to himself "he's no ordinary cruiserweight."

Haye also revealed that money was an issue, claiming that many of the names touted were fighting for their pension. "They've come in with some ridiculous figures. A lot more than I'll be making from the fight after all's said and done. They realize they're not only going to get beat, but they'll get violently smashed."
In an odd way,I'd hate to see Rahman some what rewarded with such a big scale spot light fight here.Think what you will of Haye but he gets the headlines and generates huge interest right now.Rahman's "desire" was questionable and wanning last outing and I would not be surprised to see Haye tune him up badly should they fight.
rahman would be alrite for a warmup but i would rather see him fight samuel peter before a waldimir fight just to see if he can take the heavyweight punches
Toney only has himself to blame for not winning a belt. He cheated and took steroids twice and that cost him a title.
Haye for me has to take this fight. Its a reasonably dangerous one for him against a decent name and if he wins would probably catapult him to an instant Wlad fight. If he loses on the other hand it proves he is an heavyweight pretender (god i hope not) and does not belong in the land of the giants.
