Re: Your favorite fighter in a fight they dissapointed you in
I see a lot of people listed fights where a guy got caught and KOd. I don't think you should be disappointed in that. A man goes out and gives it his all, and I think thats all you can expect a fighter to do.
James Toney vs Tiberi - Toney showed up in terrible condition and got one of the biggest gifts of all time.
Roy Jones/Tarver 3 - To me there is no shame in getting caught and KOd, it can happen to anyone. But there is shame in fighting just to survive like Roy did against Tarver in the 3rd fight. It broke my heart to see one of my favorite fighters, old as he may be, fight like a punk against a good but limited fighter in Tarver.

Yeah that Roy Tarver rubber match was extremely dissapointing, especially with hinsight knowing Tarver was basically there for the taking. All you need to do is watch the 5th round and it's clear as day who the better fighter was, but Roy just didn't do ANYTHING after that.
Re: Your favorite fighter in a fight they dissapointed you in
azumah nelson-james leija 2- i didn't like that nelson gave excuses instead of just accepting the loss
Re: Your favorite fighter in a fight they dissapointed you in
Hagler vs Leonard. If he would have pressed from the beginning and not fooled around and literally given away 3 or 4 rounds, he would have stopped Leonard or at least outpointed him. A stupid fight from my favorite fighter.
Re: Your favorite fighter in a fight they dissapointed you in
One that kills me,yelling at the TV kills me, was Hopkins vs. Taylor 1.Its been mentioned but that fight just pissed me off with Hopkins taking so much for granted it would appear and not selling out for the late stoppage when Taylor was catching harsh effective righthands. All respect to Taylor, fought with big dicapline and effective game plan.......but I think Hopkins could have inflicted some serious damage, possibly a TKO very late :-X.
Re: Your favorite fighter in a fight they dissapointed you in
Winky against Hopkins. I thought that Winky did enough to win it, but shitty refs and a bad cut didn;t help. Winky just didn't look hungry.

Winky is one of my favorites but all of those krispy kremes has definately taken away the hunger.
Re: Your favorite fighter in a fight they dissapointed you in
Tyson v Holyfield (after 6 rounds), Lennox, Williams and Mcneely.
Haye v Ismail Abdoul
Holyfield v Moorer
Re: Your favorite fighter in a fight they dissapointed you in
Trinidad vs Wright That fight literally made me sick to my stomach.
Tua vs Lewis It wasn't really his fault but I thought Tua could've done better on that one.
Re: Your favorite fighter in a fight they dissapointed you in
ODLH Vs Tito- I actually had him winning but he should have made sure and not got on his bike!
David Haye Vs Carl Thompson- WTF happened to the next Heavyweight champion of the world that night?
SRL Vs Kevin Howard- I know he hadn't fought for 2 years but it was a bad performance by the sugar man.
RJJ Vs Antonio Tarver II- The night I realised no man was invincible.
Re: Your favorite fighter in a fight they dissapointed you in

I realised that on hearing, then seeing, Douglas had knocked out Tyson. (well it helped me realise.. i made excuses for Tyson for years after until Holyfield put the nail in the coffin)
Jones getting ko'd was a big shock though, never thought i'd see that.
