Re: Did it save boxing? Laughable cover.
Boxing didn't need saving.
And I loved the fight itself. DLH had a massive weight advantage so it's not hard to predict that there wasn't going to be toe to toe savagness in there.
What we got was a battle of wits, Maybe the unrivaled media attention made our expectations a little to high, but for those who looked at it without the media hype knew what we were in for...Also DLH did win;D
Re: Did it save boxing? Laughable cover.
There is only person who "Saved" boxing. Not really saved it but put it back on the map and back into homes around the world.
Re: Did it save boxing? Laughable cover.
I have that issue still actually, the article is about boxing weathering the storm of MMA, which had it's biggest PPV later in that month with Liddell/Rampage.
In the end, they coexisted, MMA and boxing coexist that's just how it is. Neither take away from their fanbase that much really, at least I wouldn't think I have some really smart things to say about this but I won't now. Just saying that is what the title is relating to, it wasn't about it being a great fight it was just a question of whether it can be a big draw. Obviously, it was with over 2 million buys.
