Re: ~ A Message to Referee Marlon B. Wright ~ (Ref. for Andrade-Bute)
“It was outrageous,” Andrade, now 27-2 (21), said of Wright’s count, which he believed the referee needlessly interrupted. I didn’t come out of the corner. [Bute] was completely out.
“His eyes are gone. I know I won this fight.”
“I didn’t come here to win a decision. I came to knock him out, and I did.”
Andrade says it all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU WON CHAMP GREAT WORK :)
Re: ~ A Message to Referee Marlon B. Wright ~ (Ref. for Andrade-Bute)
I got a PM asking what did I type in the last part of the post.
Here it is...
"Put some balls into it Andrade, you gotta go forward fucker"
"Your genorosity after the fight was HUGE fucker you were a man about it and you went over to shake the refs. hand and talk to him you hugged him and also Bute and his corner. Your fucken GREAT, your GREAT"

ERES GRANDE CABRON!!! GRANDIOSO!!
I just think Andrade showed a lot of class there when he put all the emotions aside and was man enough to walk over there and still talk to the ref. and Bute and his people.
Re: ~ A Message to Referee Marlon B. Wright ~ (Ref. for Andrade-Bute)
Just seen the clip.Bute is 1 lucky f***er.
Re: ~ A Message to Referee Marlon B. Wright ~ (Ref. for Andrade-Bute)
lmao love the new sig Mick ;D
Andrade definitely won my respect both inside and outside the ring. He was remarkably gracious and polite after the event despite being adament that he clearly won the fight.
I've never really listened to an interview of his before, I always assumed he would really broken English like Cotto but he sounded like an American.
I always forget where he's from, is he Mexican or something?
Classy guy though, I'd definitely root for him to destroy Bute if they fought again
Re: ~ A Message to Referee Marlon B. Wright ~ (Ref. for Andrade-Bute)
Wow so some controversy then for my boy Lucian Bute ? i haven't seen the fight, but i looked on the news and it said Lucian Bute easily won the first 11 rounds, then he made a mistake by exchanging in the last round and was almost stopped ?

It wasn't so much as almost stopped as knocked the fuck out.
He ended the fight slumped in the corner his broken body resting on the ropes.
He staggered to his feet but the ref gave him the mandatory 25 count and the bell went and saved him.
He did give the best post fight interview in a long time after the fight.
When asked how close he came to being sparked at the end, he replied via interperter, 'I was a bit tired' ;D

Damn so it was like Meldrick Taylor vs Julio Cesar Chavez ? but instead this time the ref being controversial by being in favor of the fighter, instead of the otherway around ?
Re: ~ A Message to Referee Marlon B. Wright ~ (Ref. for Andrade-Bute)
I agree that the ref was horrible, but whatever happened would have been controversial. If Bute beat the count, which I believe he would have if it was a normal count, and the ref stopped it, it would be a lot like the Chavez-Taylor fight and there would be outrage from the other side... Dont get me wrong, Wright was completely unjustified, but the outcome was justifiable. Credit to both fighters though for a great effort.

He sounds about as Canadian as Bute then, maybe it wasn't hometown judging after all.
I do agree about the controversy as well. There's no doubt Bute managed to get to his feet at 10, although the ref hadn't even started counting then, but whether he could have stayed upright for the remaining 10 seconds is debatable.
It's the closest I've ever seen anyone almost come to losing it in the last seconds though and still hanging on barely.
It actually finished in a similar way to Vazquez Marquez 3 but Andrade was waaaaaaaaay behind on the scorecards so he needed him to stay down.
Brilliant final round though.
does anyone think Andrade should be kicking himself for not stepping it up earlier though?
I mean the way he tore through him in the 12th makes you think he really should have taken him out of there a couple rounds earlier.

I just watched the clip of the last round 24 seconds went by exactly Bilbo.
Re: ~ A Message to Referee Marlon B. Wright ~ (Ref. for Andrade-Bute)
The argument over whether the count was long, or not, is moot; the fight should've been stopped.
Was Bute defending himself and throwing punches back? No.
Was Bute in a fit state to continue after the knockdown, did he walk forward, hold up his hands etc.? No.
Should be changed to a no decision as far as I'm concerned and even then Andrada has been hard-done-by. I only saw the last round online but the previous eleven are irrelevant because the fight should've been stopped.

Yeah it was terrible. I think it was bad for Bute too. I mean he's on his feet 9 seconds after being dropped. I can't say he's up at 9 becuase the judge isn't even counting in that time but Bute himself did no wrong.
He may have survived, there were about 3 seconds left, if he managed to grab and hold Andrade as he came back in he'd have heard the final bell.
Now he will have to put up with everyone saying he was KO'd.
It was a tough way for the fight to end for both guys

He was down for exactly 9 and a half seconds wow that was tight, as a Lucian Bute fan im really disappointed because Lucian Bute. Will never hear the end of this, but props to Librado Andrade i did underestimate him. And its a shame he gone hard done by, both fights have suffered badly in this fight.
Re: ~ A Message to Referee Marlon B. Wright ~ (Ref. for Andrade-Bute)
Andrade is a class act personified. The ref let bureaucracy steal a natural continuum of how things were going. Not to mention,When you have a fighter that fawked up and clearly out on his feet....I think your last interest should be to turn your back on him and pull out the rule book and beat the other guy over the head with it.Dipshit!!!!
Andrade does not need a rematch and will go on to another big stage and Bute can stay in his backyard.Skilled fighter but come on man.
