Close call for me,I have to go with Margarito based on the decisive nature of his to huge wins but real shame no match to end the year on.
Vic is interesting, although I don't care for him his last two were very one sided against top competition ??But the draw can be looked at as a blemish OR yet another match against top ten fighters on even terms?Hmm
Manny off of one sided dusting but almost everyone had the feeling Diaz was keeping that belt warm for Manny's coronation at light and very few gave Diaz a shot. At the risk of throwing matches,Marquez kept him on even terms IMo and Pac nicked a one point fight...to some. His carnival with DLH has yet to happen
Hopkins,No.Calzaghe,No....Dawson is on the cusp of doing huge things I believe,09 will be huge year.Imo....maybe lower p4p entrant should he continue improvements.
as of today it is hopkins
I see alot of "IFs." Margarito has it right now. IF Pacquiao wins, then he takes it, HANDS DOWN. IF Pacquiao loses and Calzaghe wins, then it's between Margarito and Calzaghe. But IF Pacquiao loses and Roy Jones wins, then he's gotta be up there. Then he will have had victories over Trinidad and an undefeated Calzaghe.
As it stands Margarito but if Pac man wins you have to give it to him
Right now at this very moment, it's probably Margarito.
If Pac beats Oscar, then it'll be Pac, no doubt.
If Pac loses and Joe wins, then it'll be Joe.
If Pac loses and Joe loses, then it'll be Margarito.
If a nuclear bomb explodes and Billy Dib is the only human left alive on the entire planet, then Billy Dib will win Fighter of the Year.
LOL very good;D Oscar has changed alot over the years i used to really like him
I am an Oscar fan myself but I can't give him credit for having fought Forbes and Pacquiao back to back. I understand that because of his always wanting to fight the best he gets to have a break this time but he really is making this fight with Pacquiao seem like his greatest challenge. Maybe even his most dangerous opponent. But if you ask me, Pacquiao is the one in danger, not Oscar.
Might be Calzaghe if he wins against Jones..
I'd say Hopkins. I'm no fan of him but he put on a masterful display and I think he deserves the credit, he was a joy to watch for once. Awful to see Kelly get beat like that though I'm a big fan of him and he will bounce back.
Close second is Margarito
Vitali deserves a mention too for his performance after such a long lay off.
