It sure is freezing at the moment. I'm in Warburton this morning and it is icy.. I'm sure there is some nice hot days in store within a week so that you can get out in the surf... I wonder how present you could stay though while the air temperature isn't much above 15, and the water probably not much above 5... I'd certainly wait for some warmer weather.. Man even in the height of summer, as AI said, Melbourne waters are still incredibly cold.. But any regular surfer would be used to that... I can't stand it..

Anyway, the board looks awesome and I love the Egyptian part..

I know one part of me that cant stay very present in those conditions :mad:;D

It only the wind direction mate that all we care about.colds nothing Ive snow skied one day,surfed the next day,two hours away from where the snows falling.:cool:

Well the day definitely turned around. I had the heater blasting in the car all the way to work, and the air conditioner blasting the whole way home, so it would have been a glorious day for it if you managed to get down the beach.

Nah mate I went, its less than 10 min to Gunnamatta from here but was crap,wind blowing sideways real mess ,didnt go in.

Would have been nice down in the country where you were though I like it round there.

10th wave got my first clean round pit for the day.:cool:
Took it out in 4 feet easy waves over a reef so its like surfing a machine,same spot all the time same shape and sections all time etc.
Board is a bit a stiff but that to be expected as i've gone up in size 2 inches and thicker by 3/16 ths.
So shes an easy paddler ,can still duck dive it so I havent gone too overboard with the thickness.

i tried surfing and it is hard as fuk to me. u gotta have perfect balance to surf. the longest i stood on the surf board was 3 seconds and then i fell.

I tried learning how to surf on dumpers, I had no idea. :o I ended up fighting the waves more than riding them, and came to learn what what board rash was all about. Andre's advice about keeping your hands up was a life saver too. :fight:
