I'd say you probably do. But you have to admit that's a pretty gay song. Here are the lyrics:
Blue Moon, you saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
Blue Moon, you knew just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for
Someone I really could care for
And then there suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms will ever hold
I heard somebody whisper, "Please adore me"
And when I looked, the moon had turned to gold
Blue Moon, now I'm no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own

Ha ha, you're taking the lyrics outta context a little. Granted the original 'Blue Moon' is a little gay, but the version Ricky comes out to is a punk rock remix. Also, as already said the track means a lot to a Man City fan like Hatton...
Now Enzo Macaranelli has gay entrance music! 'I wont back down' by Tom Petty. I understand why the lyrics are apt but the song's just plain shit! ;D
Re: Is Ricky Hatton Still Entering w/ "Blue Moon"
Well, how about "Bad to the Bone" or "Mess Around" or something likE that?
Re: Is Ricky Hatton Still Entering w/ "Blue Moon"
Anything by George Thoroughgood is gay. Sorry if you've missed the memo. All his songs sound the same.
I like Tom Petty and though the lyrics are pointed, I agree it's a poor choice to enter into a ring with. And you can't hang a pair of balls beneath a vagina. You can't rock out 'Blue Moon' just like it was wrong for Celine Dion to remake AC/DC's 'Shook Me All Night Long'.

yeah atmosphere was good at main road but shite at the city of manchester
Re: Is Ricky Hatton Still Entering w/ "Blue Moon"
I think that version of Blue Moon kicks ass...
Being a Man U. fan I think it sucks while on the pitch but at a boxing event I can live with it.
Killaface Blue Moon refers to the color Blue as in the team color of Man City.
Paul Williams came out to "Ain't No Stoping Us Now" for his 1st fight vs. Quintana and we all know how that went. :-X

Yeah i thought it was to do with the acoustics of the stadium but it wasn't awesome for the Hatton fight and has been for a few of the bigger games.....Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool etc...
Should be good on Sunday.
Especially when Robinho rips Rio a new one ;D
i hope
Re: Is Ricky Hatton Still Entering w/ "Blue Moon"
Not my type of music, but "Blue Moon" fits the bill for the Hatton entrance. Now Paulies music was SERIOUSLY gay. ;)

agreed.
....and apparently it doesn't matter "how gay" your entrance song is- didn't seem to hurt Hatton at all.
