Riddick Bowe was taught a boxing lesson by a shot overweight Tony Tubbs, when Riddick Bowe realized he couldn't deal with fighters with good jabs, he stayed away from Lennox Lewis. Just look how badly Andrew Golota dominated Riddick Bowe with the jab, Riddick Bowe was just a sitting duck for that double jab.
I think Bowe losing to Golota had something to do with him already having marbles for brains. I have no clue how Bowe can get a boxing license NOW.
31 rounds with Holyfield did him no favors either. How he is managing to be featured on a major Championship undercard baffles me.Hope some promoter is not actually thinking of big fights down the road?Bowe is a statistic waiting to happen :fight:

That long!!!!!!!!
Bloney heck!! I remember Zumbrun was interviewed after the Bowe fight and they asked him what would happen in a rematch, Billy replied with
"His comeback ends there"
He hurt Bowe BAD at will, to Bowes credit, he did have enough about him to see the fight through but it was only Billy Zumbrun.
Bowe needs to be locked up for his own good because even at this stage of his career he would take the Lewis fight for the cash and would try to put up a scrap while in there.
If Bowe were to do what Holyfield has and just show he can still move and put a few punches together then maybe but its been a long time since he decided to make a comeback and that comeback didnt go anywhere and after another 3 and a half years it aint gonna get any better.
Although if Bowe has set his heart on this, get him some real fat outa shape ex middle to shove around and go from there, you cant deny a man earning a living but someone does have to look out for him and find some real soft touches.

He always struggled with tall fighters with good jabs, just look at his early fights against Tony Tubbs, Tyrell Biggs. You can clearly see his timing/rhythm is totally off when those fighters were sticking there jabs in his face.
And thats exactly what happened against Andrew Golota, prime or no prime unless Riddick Bowe finished Andrew Golota early. He would always have big problems with Andrew Golota.
But problems of that magnitude? A prime Bowe would have done much better, IMO.

Would love to see this fight.
