Maybe a few years ago. I think it would have been a lot like the Juadh-Ward fight. That was back when Zab was a little more tougher mentally. Now I think Hatton would break him late, though Zab would be ahead on points imo.

Zab would be dangerous for bout 4 rounds but Hatton would be to intense for Zab we saw how he crumbled against Cotto and i see Hatton doing much the same with body shots slowly breaking Zab down.
It would of been nothing like Micky Ward vs Zab Judah, Micky Ward was a goodish fighter with a good body attack, but his footwork was very slow. Except for the good body attack he is nothing like Ricky Hatton at all.
Ricky Hatton is atleast 2 classes above Micky Ward, he is a much better pressure fighter. With much quicker footwork he was able to even close down the distance against Floyd Mayweather, although he was outclassed.
nah i think everybody isrightg nothis
theres no doubtilike zab, but zab will not win this fight because theresjust too much pressure by hatton, more then baldomir more then cotto
even tho i did seem impressed by him in hisfight aganist cotto's inside game iono how zab will handle the constant dirty stuff hatton does...lol
Speaking of Clottey, I think Hatton (at 140) would beat Zab in the same way; the exception being Zab would land more on Hatton. But this new Hatton with head movement?... Shit, I don't know why Zab would take that fight. Does he want to go visit Paulie in retirement land?
I agree Hatton is faster on foot than Ward, but I still thing Zab would outbox him much like he did Ward. Like I said the difference would be the end result where as in the ward fight Zab was able to stay in his rythm, Ricky would break him down and ultimately beat him.
Loads of Valid points! nothing concrete I hope this fight happens as there is not many other big fights out there for Hatton or Zab. If Hatton is staying at 140 after Pacman and JMM who else is there? We all know he won't fight Witter and I honestly don't think Bradley will be a top fighter in the long run.
Hatton would break Zab down to a TKO in my opinion with Zab landing some good powershots early on.
Im pretty sure Zab's last outing was officially at 14o (although he weighed in at 144).
I think Zab is back at 140. And with that being said, all i'll say is that, if one of those amazing Left- Uppercuts detonate of Ricky's Chin, Ricky better start Aiming for Zabs Nuts three times quicker than Cotto did ;D
Zab would have a huge chance early. Huge.
Right, ricky beat Tszyu and took all his shots whithout blinking, either his chin is ten times better than Zabs (which it probably is) or he dfended better or his offence kept Tszyu at bay, either way Ricky did something better.
Zab is the type of opponent that Ricky would take as a comeback or warm up:rolleyes:
Zab is a product of his own hype;D
At 140 I think Hatton is too much physically and even more so mentally for Zab.Judah is faster but he shows little desire to follow through off the initial showy shots,Can not see him walking Hatton back.Imo....Zab is approaching the other side of career fast and will have an uphill battle regaining Championship stature...I don't see it!
Zab definitely has the tools to beat Ricky. But his mental game is so weak that Hatton's style would eventually smother Zab.
No, when I say he has the tools, I mean he has the speed, power, and boxing ability to give Ricky a tough fight.
I think Zab would have a shot to beat Ricky if he wasn't so weak mentally. I think the word "But" was there to have that effect on my original statement...
