In the spirit of the season, you could have just ignored that post,I did

I think it is obvious that right wingers, especially those that would choose republican over democrat, are by definition far less inclined to have Christmas spirit. :)

Extremism sucks, life is too nuanced for it.
Yes we'd all love to have "THINGS I BELIEVE" it makes our life easier, but rarely do people think through, what those things mean

...I disagree, I am all about Christmas. It would seem to me that the Democrat way to do Christmas (oh did I just say Christmas?!?! I meant "Holiday Season") would be to have the government take a percentage of seasonal joy to spread to the people in need and then they would create a nondenominational ecumenical government holiday where we would celebrate politically correct characters like Frosty The Global Warming Threatened SnowPERSON.
Meanwhile, I and other Republicans may wish that Government stay out of my life and let me keep the season in the manner I see fit

OK mon, I'm sure you have Christmas spirit. As for your "spread the wealth" analysis, I ain't even gonna go there.
My original comment was a joke, nothing more. Just me being facetious, poking fun at the left vs right thing. I consider myself to be about 50% left and 50% right.
Have a Merry Christmas, I know I will, even though I'm probably an atheist.

OK mon, I agree about the Christmas Spirit part. As for your "spread the wealth" analysis, I ain't even gonna go there.

Hey I'm celebrating Christmas not plaining a suicide bombing. You're really naive if you think Democrat Presidents don't spy on us.
Spying doesn't involve telling me what to do or making sure I don't offend anyone.

Just to put your mind at ease I am from North Carolina born and raised ;D
CGM, I too was making fun of the left vs right thing. I also have some more liberal views but nobody has ever asked about them or noticed them....they see Lyle posted something and they just assume it's going to be some hyper Republican statement...I could post the entire Communist Manifesto and people would attack me for my Conservative views. So every so often I make jokes and stuff like this happens

What does where your from have to do with listening to Larry The Cable Guy?
I just found it funny that I could have cropped what you said right out of one of his skits, and he's considered the idol of the south, and the guy's from Kansas.
Mind you he did live in Florida, and for all that our collective mind goes right to Orlando,Daytona, and Miami when we think of Florida, the rest of the state is where red met neck, lord knows Ive traveled over allmost all of the northern half of the state.
And no Lyle, put your persecution complex aside,we dont attack you for being a conservative(OK,maybe Kirkland does),we dont attack you at all,we don on the other hand get on you because youre usually factually wrong.
Re: In The Spirit Of The Season
I hate to break a stereotype but I don't like Larry The Cable Guy.
Trainer only you could find something factually wrong with an OPINION.
.....also speaking on North Carolina and Christmas....you know they took the christmas trees out of the libraries at UNC because some students found them offensive? How the fuck can someone be offended by a PAGAN symbol used to celebrate the season???

Heh Heh. Truth be told, I find your positions a lot more supportable than those of some others I (and you ) have tangled with here, and I was cheering for Obama.

Funny here in West Virginia the local schools offer Bible classes.
Maybe they should bring back Humanities as a class, and teach "all of the above"
Re: In The Spirit Of The Season
Selfless act?
I handed back a €300 wallet the week before last.
Is it ironic that I now don't have two red cents to rub together?
