What? Kessler already has wins over Mundine (who he beat in Australia), Andrade and Marcus Beyer, plus he travelled to Wales to fight Joe Calzaghe.
What other fighter at 168 has a more impressive resume than that?
And what other top fighter in the world outside the heavyweights and Philippino's has twice fought big world title fights away from home in their prime?
Well that depends how you class a 'big' fight but to name a few..
Ricky Hatton (Collazo, Castillo, Mayweather, Malignaggi)
Naseem Hamed (Cant think of any at this moment in time but he has..)
Big Joe Calzaghe (Albeit they were his last two fights and against well past it fighters)
Infact when I think back boxers from the UK are probably the only people who are prepared to leave their country alot..
That is a ridiculous statement. Off the top of my head:
Librado Andrade went to Denmark to fight Kessler and Montreal to fight Bute. Sakio Bika went to Wales to fight Calzaghe and Montreal to fight Bute.
Adamek went to Chicago to fight Paul Briggs, Florida to fight Dawson, and Newark to fight Cunningham.
The Klitschkos have fought in the US many times for title fights.
Timothy Bradely went to London to fight Junior Witter.

Kessler was in negotiations for a fight with Miranda. He was then made mandatory challanger for the WBA title against Mundine, so broke off negotiations to pursue that fight.
People are free to make their own judgements about that decision. Some feel that beating Miranda would have been good for Kessler's image in the USA, others that the title belt gives him leverage in securing the fights he wants.
Mundine, rather than taking another beatdown from Kessler, said he was going to MW and vacated his title. The title shot was then offered to Edison Miranda. Miranda, by this point, was negotiating with Abraham and chose to turn down the Kessler fight and stay with the Abraham one.
The fact that Mogens Palle went to the extent of asking the WBA to move Miranda up in their rankings to allow him to fight for the title (as Miranda had never beaten a top 50 SMW) should prove to all but the most delusional that Kessler had no interest in avoiding Miranda
Re: Kessler against Froch on 28 feb 2009(perhaps)
Kessler cleary ducked Miranda. He made an offer (which consisted of a laundry list of Diva like demands), Miranda accepted and Showtime signed on to license the fight.
After everything was agreed to, Kessler turned yellow, refused to return Showtimes calls, and began pursuing meaningless fights against bums for the so called WBA "regular" title.
All the paper titles in the world do not justify Kessler's wussing out of his agreed to fight against Miranda.
Kessler's been a complete bitch since getting destroyed by Joe C. and you can bet he will come up with some excuse for why he cant fight Froch.
Maybe the WBA will offer him a chance to fight for the WBA "extreme interim" title against Hobo Pete.

All you need to do is watch the opening moments of Miranda-Abraham 2. ShowTime themselves said Kessler biitched out. ShowTime has no stake in either fighter. They have no reason to lie. I believe them over anything you or Morgens Palle (LOL) have to say.

Andrade is a gate keeper who doesnt call the shots and HAS to travel.
All Adameks fights you mentioned are all in the same country;D
Tim Bradley wasnt an established name or even a champ so had to travel.
The Klitschkos have nothing to fear in the US;D
Re: Kessler against Froch on 28 feb 2009(perhaps)
If the fight gets made, it will be an interesting fight, but I think Kessler will totally expose Froch's bad defense. Pascal shed some light on how weak Froch's defense is, so I think Kessler will know how to take major advantage of that.

The original statement was that "when I think back on it, only British fighters are prepared to travel a lot." As reflected in my reply post, that isn't true.

:lolhaha: Of course I believe ShowTime over your dumb ass. They have no reason to lie. They gave in to all his demands. Only to watch him turn yellow and run. And yes I agree, Miranda is seriously overrated. That's what makes Kessler biitching out even worse.

Miranda isn't from the United States - he is Columbian. :o
Who really cares if Kessler wanted a soft touch after Calzaghe beat him? The problem is he took two soft touches. Hopefully, it doesn't turn into a pattern. The division is too deep.
Moreover, it turned out to be a stupid move because Miranda was ripe for the taking. Abraham demolished him in the next fight.
