How many of Floyd Mayweather's fights have you actually seen ? because despite a few of his recent fights, most of his fights have been pretty exciting. Im quite suprised you like James Toney, who at his best fights similar to Floyd Mayweather, but you hate Floyd Mayweather's fights i just don't get that logic.
Arturo Gatti
Jesus Chavez
Jose Luis Castillo 1
Phillip N'dou
Zab Judah
Diego Corrales
Angel Manfredy
Genaro Hernandez
Emanuel Burton
And most of his early fights before he won a world title were top notch aswell, i can't understand how anyone couldn't enjoy the fights i've listed above. As for the thread itself that is disappointing i was hoping he'd fight Manny Pacquiao.
A fight between the two best P4P fighters is always mouth watering, and it hasn't happened since Julio Cesar Chavez vs Pernell Whitaker, but hopefully he means he doesn't want to fight either of those fighters, and that he wants to concentrate on the top Welterweight stars at the moment, but thats wishful thinking from me.
Just feel I should add the Hatton fight to that list, probably my favourite fight of 2007 (not sayin it was the best just the one I enjoyed most). Still wouldn't be suprised if he came back to fight Pacquiao in late summer/autumn next year as both of their 'final fights', but can't see him goin after the fights himself, probably wait for the winner of Pac-Ricky if its Pac. Can't see the logic in fightin Hatton again. Who knows maybe he really did mean it when he said he didn't wanna box again?
You cant knock Floyd. Hall of Fame first ballot. No doubt about it. P4P best for a long time. And my below post is NOT in any way meant to discount his talent or achievements.
But, I understand why you wouldn't be a big fan if you just tuned into Floyd and only saw his last couple of fights. In those fights, he fought a little "scary."
This is by no means a comparison at all, at all, but for the sake of explanation, take Yuri Foreman: He can box and he is quick, but Boreman lacks in entertainment value. Of course, you can appreciate the man's talent, but his matches aren't very interesting. He moves a lot and never gets into serious exchanges. Again, no comparison there, just for the sake of explanation as to why Floyd's recent style may not be too entertaining to watch. Conversely, it's the same reason why you know you are getting a fun fight everytime Margarito steps into the ring.

So it was you ICEY, who had me fooled again couple of days back with that new outfit. I remember you doing that to me once long time back, but I forgot what name you were using then... Nice name, though.;)

Re: PBF has no interest in either Pacquiao or Hatton
This is not a guarantee that Pacquiao VS PBF is not going to happen. Any great fighter worth his weight know the inner workings and business side of boxing, more so the present PPV boxing. PBF did not skip the pages when there was a lecture about this. To generate more interest... say no when you mean yes, and say yes, when you mean no. At the end, cha-ching! more interest, more revenues. PBF is no bland character, he surely has the knack for this kind. WWF... Dancing With the Stars... He is not wanting in this department.
I'll reluctantly take away food... lessen food, from the table to see this fight!
