Define "best fighter". I'm all for Pac-Hatton or Pac-PBF. Who else can top their accomplishment in their division.

By best fighters, I meant fighters close to their prime in their natural weight classes, like Campbell or Diaz at 135 and Hatton at 140. Or PBF at 140-147. All of those fights would be much better and more competitive than Cotto at 140 because of the weight issue.

Alright then. I never heard of any credible news about Pac fighting Cotto in any weight class anyway.

I agree that Hatton is the best fight out there for Pac, no doubt about it. I'd wager it'll be a lot more competitive than Pac-ODH.

I think people are getting to carried away with the Oscar win man, shit pac just got through beating JMM, and as great as he is, they are small guys...

Forget for a moment what oscar has done and who he has beaten, and purly judge him on what he brought to the ring that night and pac beat a nobody, a nothing - i mean i give the guy respect; he fought great and done everything right., but Cotto could freaking kill this guy, way to big and strong.

Cotto has a good defence man, he is fast too, hits hard as hell and is smart. Chin is a bit dodgy and he does tire a bit down the stretch but Pac wont make it that far for that to matter.

Preme, you are exactly right. People are reading Pac TKO ODLH. And not reading that is was really Pac TKO sitting duck ODLH. ODLH was not punching and seemed to be overaged in his last couple of fights. Margarito and Cotto at 147 are in no way a good fight for Pac. Unless you count dollars for blood. That shouldn't even be sanctioned. Margarito walks right through punches and Pac has no real defense. Margarito is one of the biggest, strongest, and granite chinned welterweights of all time. On top of that, throws 100 punches a round. Margarito is a monster for a smaller guy. Cotto would be a nightmare for Pac also. Cotto stalks the guys he is bigger than and with relentless pressure. People have to realize at some point that weight DOES mean something major. Remember, ODLH refused to even consider getting in the ring with Cotto or Margarito. Something so vastly one sided is too time frustrating to simplify. You know, I actually feel like this is a ridiculous thing for us to even discuss. Were making fools of our boxing intelligence. Pac and Hatton is at least debatable. Hatton wins though.

yea i'm pretty sure Pacquiao can make 160 also but it'd be stupid for him to fight Pavlik now wouldn't it, when Cotto started having trouble making weight at 140 it was VERY MUCH noticable especially in the Corley fight, hell even in his fight against Malignaggi, honestly Cotto needs to stay at 147, and if Paulie would have gone up to welter to meet him, he'd of been stopped in about 5

People get into the hype and forget that Big Names are not forever young.

I'll be more excite to see Pac beat a boxer who is in his prime, young, etc. rather than someone who is old, passed his prime, worned out, out of gas, etc. and the only thing he has is his BIG NAME in boxing.

Pacman vs cotto would be an awsome fight. Both love to fight, and both are knockout artist. Pacman would win this fight because of the chin factor. Even after the margarito fight i still think cotto is one of the best fighters out there and i think he will win his rematch with margarito. My prediction for a pacman vs cotto is 11th round Tko with both landing huge shots (Best fight of the year) With Pacman coming out on top. I think cotto could actually beat mayweather. The reason margarito beat cotto is because he pressured him and kept on coming after him. Floyd doesnt do that. Cotto is easily quick enough to land on mayweather. I say cotto beats mayweather by SD. Im not sure what to think with a pacman vs margarito. Both have iron chins and iron wills. I dont believe either one could hurt each other. In the end Pacman is just to fast and wins by UD.

Pacquiao is way too fast afoot for Margarito too catch up to him. I think he wins that one for sure, I think he also beats Cotto who is too undurable nor quick enough.

Manny-Mayweather is a great fight that might be a toss up, but I think it slightly favors Mayweather

Hatton will batter Pac. The top welters will beat Pac too. Unfortunately he will do anything to get away from JMM who is making him fight at these weights. ;D

Hatton betters pac? Is that a joke? Manny would make Hatton look like he had been ran over by a truck by the time that fight is over with. Heres hatton's style in a nutshell. (Go in there and try to KO the opponet with every shot.) Thats no game plan, and thats a very poor style. Hatton obviously doesnt have to good of a chin, i mean he wasnt hit with very many punches against mayweather, and mayweather is by no means a knockout artist. To think that Ricky Hatton would beat Manny Pacquiao makes me think one thing. You obviously havnt seen either one fight to much! Pacquiao's speed would absolutley eat Hatton alive. A great boxer will always beat a brawler. Once again im not saying Hatton is bad and I like him but name his credintials? It's funny to me how before the DLH vs Pacman fight everyone was saying how Oscar was to big and he would KO Manny. Manny lost a fight at the beginning of his career and the one against morrales (the huge headbut gash caused the loss). The fact is that Manny has been nothing but improving, Hatton hasnt fought many good fighters but mayweather(knocked out). And Mayweather has been doing just what it takes to barely slip by Oscar De La Hoya, and zab judah.
