Roger got lucky in his prediction (and in life that he is not a homeless person based on that video)...He said Shane would beat him based upon speed...but Shane doesnt possess the speed he had 5 years ago. It wasnt just speed, it was a combination of speed, skills, power, stamina and for me the most important GAME PLAN.....He watched Cotto's and Paul Williams fights, he figured out what worked for both and put it into play...He fought from the right distance, tied up when he needed to and had the stamina to fight the same fight for TWELVE ROUNDS (even though he didnt need to go 12 rounds)....Cotto and Williams were beating Tony but slowed because they ran out of gas (due to conditioning and the punches they took). Mosley was better conditioned and came in with a plan to negate the punches that wore down Cotto.....Shane also went to the BODY

Speed is the hardest thing to deal with especially when your used tobeing the faster man. Mayweather was originally going to fight Judah when Judah was the Lineal Welterweight Champ, however, after Baldomir beat Judah he took on Baldomir in order to become the lineal Welterweight Champion. He then fought Judah in order to try & unify the division although Judah would vacate the WBA before this happened.
Cotto would only move up to 147 at the tail end of 2006, after which PBF fought only two more fights, against ODLH at LMW & then Ricky Hatton, both of which were considerably more financially worthwhile.
At the time that Mayweather came up to 147, Mosley was fighting Vargas at LMW, & though he would come down to capture the interim WBC belt whilst Floyd fought Oscar, he chose to vacate it in order to fight Cotto. Now I'm not saying that specifically chose not to fight Floyd or ducked him, it's probably that Golden Boy probably realized they could make more having Mayweather fight Hatton.
So there are your reasons why Mayweather fought those guys first, I'm not saying they were great fights but there clearly were reasons why he fought them, principally that the 2 guys you mention were not fighting at Welterweight at the time

This thread has become stupid because PBF aint going to fight anyone faster than he is where he might loose. And the only fighter he'd face in this stage of his "legacy" is one he knows he can beat. So forget him proving he is the best. He is not! and will not fight to prove it.

Second How is saying Pacquiao beat Oscar like nobody else before because I love Mayweather? The fact that Oscar did much better against Mayweather than he did against Pacquiao directly contradicts what you just said. If I love Mayweather so much, why do I think roughly the same Oscar got his ass kicked so much worse by Pacquiao? The reason is because I am OBJECTIVE. Mayweather fought both Judah and Baldomir in 06.
Second Cotto's first welterweight fight was after Mayweather fought Baldomir. He wasn't even in the welterweight picutre.

To everyone else I think Mayweather-Mosley would be a very competitive fight, Mayweather isn't so much better than Mosley that he will humiliate him, he is good enough though to win a decision by landing the cleaner punches, by making Mosley frustrated because he will be missing, this will be similar in essence to Wright-Mosley, but obviously it will look different.

Dude you really are retarded...you think one has to be in the same division in order to be in the picture? that was rhetorical...The reason cotto,hatton,shane, oscar, even winky where considered as PBF foes was because they were all within seven pound either north or south of floyd. No one was saying hey why doesn't floyd fight barrera or pacman, because it would have been stupid just like it is now.

And mosley was in the middle of trying to unify the WW division and lost to forest then fought a remtach. by that time felix trinidad was at 160. And if a fighter goes from 135 to 147 that's considered jumping two weight classes.
