You would only believe this if you have not seen the fight. At the end of the fight, the opposing fighter's corner were telling Luis Resto to remove his gloves because they felt a little heavy and Resto began to protest. Watch the video.
Phuk you Jose Sulaiman you fat tub of lard!
Margarito knows that what Capetillo was doing wasn't right. There is a video in which Tony say's that he has asked Capetillo several times in the past about the wraps and that Capetillo would reply. "Don't worry about the wraps, this is my job." Tony knew, we ain't that dumb and I don't think Tony is that dumb either.
Shame on them both.
I thought you had hung up your gloves?
Just call me Joe Calzaghe or Bernard Hopkins
;D
Well I'm sure Daxx will be pleased to see you back :D

I agree, the california state commision needs to take a good look at itself before putting the blame soley on others.
I third that!!

I know that they will be now more Strict or Severe with this situation......:-\
Re: WBC: Margarito is innocent!
This is an obvious BS attempt by Margarito's (supporters) to sway public support for the fighter. And it's also obvious that most of the boxing public is NOT Stupid! Others simply :footinmouth:
Makes me wonder just how much it takes to get the WBC officials to release a legal premise to fight the California Commission.
Margarito was caught cheating with evidence is at hand. Does the WBC think this is good for boxing? Obviously not, so why do it in public?

The Obsession for Money make to do thing out of the Ordinary and the Common Sense..........................;)
Re: WBC: Margarito is innocent!
Its amazing how his trainer said it was only extra gauze then during investigation he changed it to he innocently and mistakenly took the wrong wraps/pads and put them on Margarito. (Uh, still illegal) The trainer lies then says he made a mistake but was an innocent one and Margarito says he is innocent due to ignorance. What we are getting from all this is that there is no remorse from Team Margarito and all his association for that matter, heck everybody on team Margarito is still innocent in some way. After conviction, the convicted show no remorse and no responsibility! They are even considering ignoring the ruling and fighting outside of the country. I hope the commission takes this into account when their year is up and Team Margarito all of a sudden change their tune(ploy) just for the sake of trying to get their licenses back.
Re: WBC: Margarito is innocent!
I thought the WBC statement was poorly written and included many factual errors. Couldn't they at least have gotten one of their attorneys proficient in written english to write the statement. Saying that Luis Resto was never suspened or knew about the illegal wrappings is wrong. He was suspended by the NYSAC and never fought again. He has admitted recently that he knew the gloves were tampered with. In Margarito's case, he should be presumed innocent until proven otherwise, but the WBC is saying he is innocent before any investigation has been done, using only the broad statement that no fighter would know if their handwraps were done illegally because its not their job. This is a b.s. statement.

Course it was not bricks man, whats the matter with you?
Re: WBC: Margarito is innocent!
Supposed to release information mid March to what exactly it is, last I heard Mr140.
Re: WBC: Margarito is innocent!
Maybe if he had absolutely no idea that his hands were wrapped in such a way and could absolutely prove that, then there would be a case for his managers and the person who wrapped him being thrown out of the sport and him being found not guilty of ill activity...
But I don't think that is the case is it?
And someone asked how they avoided being caught at the time of wrapping by the official who is supposed to oversee the wrapping... Not sure if someone answered this, but it was because it appeared like normal tape and would have felt like normal tape to the official, even once it was fully wrapped on Margarito fists, but the tape had a certain make up where after it absorbed sweat, it would go hard like plaster..
Kind of like plaster.. It's powder until it gets wet, then hard.. And you're hands sweat like a bitch in gloves pretty quickly, so by the time he got in the ring and 3 rounds in, the probably would have been much harder.. Or at least expand by absorbing the sweat and adding a denser layer over the knuckles..
Very very sneaky..
Did anyone see the episode of CSI or one of those shows where a guy injected liquid mercury into the face of his gloves to make them heavier and harder? Ended up killing the other fighter which was the cause of the investigation of course..
