Instant replay to decide if a cut is from a punch or from a headbutt. It can also work for reviewing of low blows. whether a fighter deserves the 5 minute break.

Weigh-ins done in the same day so fighters would be fighting in their natural weight. No more excessive ballooning. No more weight issues. This could very well mean an upward adjustment of weight limits (in the UFC, the lightweight division limit is 155 lbs).

1 point must system. a deduction of 1 point to a fighter who gets KD. or an additional of 1 point to the fighter who scored the KD. works the same way with the 10 point must system. but is obviously a lot more simple. making the
scorecards more comprehensible. It should also make bullshit scorings more noticeable.

I am skeptical with this, I'm not so sure but I think one of the judges scorecard should be announced after the 11th round. thus making a hint to a fighter if he needs a KO to win.This could lead to a more exciting fight.

I'm pretty sure in this one, ban Joe Cortez forever. Boxing would thrive.

Totally agree with the cheaper fights. Like, I would love to watch Hatton vs Pacquiao. But am I going to pay $50? No, only if Floyd Mayweather came outta retirement to fight Mosley ;D. Put it down to $15-20 I would pay that for sure. And I'm sure more people would.

Also, advertise. Commercials, buildups shown to the public. I don't know when a fight is about to happen unless I am keeping a close eye on boxing. The public needs to know. I am sure lots of people not even that interested would pay 15 bucks to watch Hatton and Pacquiao especially if there were good exciting commercials building up these fights.

About the judges, assume this:
Boxer A is a flurry-thrower, but they are light slaps.
Boxer B is a hard-hitter that throws less often but when they are thrown they do damage

Good Judge: scores the round for Boxer B b/c he is doing the damage
Computer: it senses more punches for Boxer A yet Boxer A is getting his head dented in by only a few punches!
Average Judge: Who know?:confused:

Also many are worried that computer-judged fights will become like fencing matches. I don't think computer-monitered fights would work.

I think that the idea about more money if KO would make boxing WAY more interesting. Assume I am Hatton and gettin 40% of the profit. If I do my best to KO Pacquiao and succeed I get, say 50% (unrealistically large probably). Then fighters would step in the ring thinking, "I gotta KO this guy to make more money" not "I am going to jab all night long as the people sleep"

That's what it costs over here for a PPV fights, can't believe over there you have to pay that kind of ridiculous money for a fight. If it was even £30 for a fight I wouldn't pay it.

Agree with most of that apart from the KO bit, which I think would be almost impossible to bring into play. The boxer should be focused on winning not on the KO IMO and I think it could mean too many boxers gassing out trying to KO the other guy

If I could change one thing it would be the duration between each top fighter's fight... having to wait 5-6 months between each boxer's big money fights is ridiculous. I understand why it's done but it could be done alot differently, even if it was cut down to 2-3 months would be okay for me, the suspense for the Hatton - Pac Man fight has been killing me, and there's still 3 full months to go... :eek:

I think the WWE is a great example. They are able to air a PPV once a month and generate big income. Sure, it's all scripted and no one is generally hurt in the process, but the fact that they can advertise these fights and sell out stadiums in a month alone shows boxing can be done differently in this respect.

This doesn't take into account the fact that a top boxer needs prep time for each fight. If it was every 2-3 months that would mean that a boxer would basically finish a fight & already have to get ready for his next fight, something these guys who do it, have earned the right not to do. IMO 4-6 months is more than fair.

Well the prices on ppvs being cheaper which was mentioned earlier is a good start, but also the quality of the undercards would help I get tired of seeing poor quality undercards for a good main event for 50 bucks. Plus I do not understand why you would see a Lightweight main event and they showcase middleweights and straw weights on the same card. Why not showcase the divisions best to set up for the next big fight. Basically what I am getting at is marketing fighters and promotions better would be a good start to improving boxing.
