Re: Who is the P4P no1 today?
Though not in his prime who would consider ODLH a lesser fighter than both Juan Diaz and Joel Casamayor. And for the record even if JMM skillwise is a better than PAC, PAC has inflicted the more damaging shots to Marquez on both fights. PAC beat JMM already regardless on how close it is. So obviously PAC is P4P number 1.
No disrespect to both Casamayor and Juan Diaz, IF Manny beats Hatton I think that is more of a feat than kayo wins over an aging Casamayor and a less than perfect Juan Diaz.
Re: Who is the P4P no1 today?
Regardless of seeing p4p ratings as pretty subjective and mushy,I'll say Marquez.Simply put,he is a better & more well rounded fighter in all around skills department.Pac has a nip & tuck win over him but Imo it has to be deeper than that. Now lets see what Pac does in with Hatton next up.
Re: Who is the P4P no1 today?
Manny Pac is still P4P number 1 IMO.
I can't believe I've just said that, SaddoBoxer would be proud.
Re: Who is the P4P no1 today?
I voted for JMM mainly because it puts PAC fans on the defensive and makes them say funny things like David Diaz was the Lightweight champ.

Re: Who is the P4P no1 today?
well if we talk skill wise on active fighters then i vote bernard on that.. jmm beat diaz so does nate.. im not taking away what jmm did last night but still pac does what nobody can do to jmm today.. if pac beat old timers he is fighting old washup but if jmm beat an old one he is beating a legend.. double standard? maybe..

Yup, and why is that When JMM beat Casamayor nobody mentioned that Joel was not in his prime anymore, and as if Juan Diaz is undefeated;). I might say kayoing both guys was impressive though.

Good points. I'd never thought about it before but people do talk about Casa as a huge win for JMM and ODLH as an old washup win for Pac.

Btw, 28 of 30 of boxing writters picked DLH to dominate Pacquiao.
They must be the stupidest 30 writers ever.
ANYONE who thought ODLH had a shot vs. Pac clearly wasn't analyzing ODLH.
From day 1 when the fight was announced I said him fighting at that weight is just insane and he had zero chance in my books.
Casa didn't dominate Kats but he showed how great champions are never out of a fight and he did KO, Kats.
The Santa Cruz fight was a robbery clearly SC deserved the win but your pulling at strings now SC & David at their best are C class fighters neither has championed or reigned as champs. ODLH was and is just fighting the same way Duran fought at the end of his career when it's clearly over but you can't let it go.
Both Casa & Juan Diaz have reigned supreme and have been long standing current champs.
Where did you post that he, Oscar, had zero chance against Pacman?
I can attest that MOD Mick picked PAC to win by decision since we're only very few who predicted a PAC win over Hoya... but I can't remember he said Oscar had zero chance...
.

Please stop calling him MOD Mick. It's just Mick for fuck sake :vd:
You gonna start calling Saddo "Admin Saddo" ?
Re: Who is the P4P no1 today?
I say PAC still the no. 1 P4P... PAC showed his P4P versatility when he jumped one division to another division, from the low of 105 lbs. to a high of 147 lbs... PAC showed he can compete in the top level of many different weight division...
BTW, Thanks Mr. Lefty for recognizing my boy... ;)

Most of the time I'm in respectful mood (I just addressed you as "Mr. Lefty" in above post)... but if you start things up, I can easily label you as a "gay moron"... Which one do you like gay or moron?? or both??

I don't even have to mention the ODLH thing that was just crazy to think ODLH could perform well at 147.
JMM has become the lineal champ not some title holder.
He beat the lineal champ in Joel and he beat the #2 rated guy by The Ring becoming the man in the div.

Come on be fair now Mick. Oscar as a HUGE favorite to beat Pac Man.
His win over Marquez coupled with his win over Marquez himself makes him #1 and Marquez #2.

The odds on Oscar drifted between -200 (1/2) and -150 (2/3) that's not a huge favorite, that's more slightly favored.
