I'm afraid I must disagree. Be Here Now, while not on the same level as ...Morning Glory or Definitely Maybe was still a very good album. It was the last good Oasis album IMO, and I'm Canadian so I would know :p.
I think there are good tracks on it, but it is a meandering album. It's too long and too much filler. I really like "Stand by me", "Don't go away" and "fade-in-out". But that's it really. Tracks like "Magic Pie" and "The girl in the dirty shirt" are beyond awful IMO. The rockier tracks that Oasis are usually good at have fall short too. It's all over produced.
I don't think Oasis have made a good album since "Morning Glory". I will quit the bitching in case Booze goes off on one! ;D

I see what you're saying. I certainly don't think it's nearly as good as Morning Glory or Definitely Maybe, or even The Masterplan. I just don't think its as bad as what came after.

Yeah, I really like The Masterplan too. Be Here Now has songs that just don't end. I think there must be over ten minutes of All around the world on there. There is only so much man can take. Yeah, Oasis have lost it since then. They have a few tracks from each one I like, but it's like picking the gems from a mound of manure.

I always thought they did ok in the USA
If they didn't then they wouldn't be the biggest band not to make it there. People forget that Fun Boy Three, Haircut 100 and Brother Beyond also flopped there.

hahaha
Anyone remember around 10/12 years ago Oasis were in the US touring and Liam was acting the prick?
Spitting at the crowds and giving it the Big un then Oasis were booked to do a live MTV unplugged session and Liam pulled out on the day claiming a sore throat.
Noel had to do it on his own and pulled it off well but Liam was sitting in the crowd chain smoking and drinking all the way through.
Think he had a huge row with Noel and faked an illness which seriously pissed off the TV company and they never really cracked it from then on.
Sales were pretty good but i think Liam just pissed too many people off in the process and the media shunned them.
Know for a fact that MTV incident caused a huge row between the Brothers.
Re: are Oasis the biggest ever band to not make it in america??
Liam was also heckling Noel as well

Yeah i remember, he was sitting there with his ex wife Patsy Kensit basically acting a tosser and downing drink after drink and chain smoking.
That gig could have been the making of them in the US and Liam fucked it.
To be fair though they sold out 3 or 4 Wembley stadium gigs a few months ago in about 2 hours and with 90,000 at each gig must be doing something right.
They have a massive UK hardcore following that will always be there.
I hear Noel is gonna be bringing a solo album out sooner or later and i've always preferred his voice to Liams to be honest.
Noel is Oasis basically.
Re: are Oasis the biggest ever band to not make it in america??
same sort of thing (brother rivalry) happened to The Kinks....a far greater band IMO
Re: are Oasis the biggest ever band to not make it in america??
Forgot to say i met Liam in an after hours Sunday club in Ibiza about 6/7 years ago and he was in there out of his brains alone acting like a prick too.
Spitting at girls after a pic etc and calling Noel a "C*nt" etc.
Basically an idiot i thought.

Ah, they were my favourite band when I was about 7 or 8, until I discovered rap. There still a few of there songs that I love, 'Wonderwall' being obvious, and 'Don't Go Away' off Be Here Now was another classic. They did seem to become shit though, producing stuff that sounded like the older stuff but was a kinda crappier version. Fuck the Gallagher brothers though, pair of pricks. Don't mind Noel so much, but didn't like his biitchin over Jay-Z bein at Glastonbury. Liam is just an all-round cunt
