He's not that bad for a comeback opponents, I've seen much worse. I'm actually quite curious to see how Griffin performs as he's being trained for this fight by J. Tandy who also trains Yusef Mack and occasionally posts here.

and considering who it was against, he needs to retire, his win was just as bad as a loss

I think Jones Jr might be the end to his career. I can't see Lacy doing much against him. He'll take the fight, but lose widely on points. I can even see him getting stopped, but hope that won't be the case.

Lacy is not a shot fighter just yet, he can still box on another few years and make good money.
Re: Jeff Lacy vs. Otis Griffin result
Bad resault for Lacy. To put things into perspective, he could very easily have 6 straight loses right now. I dont think hes shot, he was just never that good.
Re: Jeff Lacy vs. Otis Griffin result
I hope they both come to their sences and mutally retire. No doubt Roy is steering for a big match off of this proposed fight?.I dont think its a good 'propelling' fight for Jones.Lacy has looked very tattered in with Mendoza and Taylor but is banking on strength, chin and inside physicality.I think he can rough Roy and his legs up.At this stage & on the way out (Both are done at top tier),Roy has name intact,Lacy is an also ran.
Re: Jeff Lacy vs. Otis Griffin result
Otis Griffin from Oscar De La Hoya's show the next great champ was competitive against jeff lacy?
Re: Jeff Lacy vs. Otis Griffin result
Otis has been up working with me at high altitude and was very unlucky not to get the result, even Lacy's cutman admitted they lost the fight. Otis was 2 or 3 rounds ahead at the end and was robbed. He fough a good fight and kept Lacy on the back foot for the majority of the fight. To be honest Lacy looked better than I expected but Otis was 100% better than he has been in the past.
