that's the point neither should be fighting PERIOD!

I agree totally with what you said. As for heavyweight, if Roy had known he was going to go through this string of disasters he should have stayed at heavyweight when he won the WBA title. If he had lost in a unification fight with Klitschko it wouldn't have hurt his reputation that much. But to get wiped out by Johnson, who I might say is a fine boxer but his record isn't all that great, diminishes things. Losing to Wlad, people would have said he bit off more than he could chew. He should call it a day unless he is pulling a Julio Cesar Chavez retirement tour deal, but we all know how that ended too.
If they both want to continue, its better that they fight each other than a top fighter. I dont see any problem with that.
Would probably watch it but think it should be a last chance saloon for both of them, I can't see either of them reaching the highest level again , Lacy would only have a chance if his confidence came back and his arm has healed, at least he would have youth on his side a bit more to keep going. Would be a shame for people to look back at RJJ and see 10+ losses on his record due to him chasing a dream.
Ouch, I really hope he doesn't follow through with that idea; some big oaf without a fraction of Roy's given talent brutally ending his career would just be sad to watch. I could only see that outcome as well the way he has looked lately, his only success will come against limited guys his size or blown up fighters. Suppose he did even manage to beat some joke Heavyweight, so what? He obviously has some serious dillusions about himself thinking he could further his legacy by moving up. He doesn't have the legs to overcome a big size disadvantage anymore, let alone heavy hands to go with it. I wouldn't actually be shocked if Lacy was able to land something big and finish him. Having said that I do think Roy should put a beating on Lacy and wouldn't mind watching the fight if it must happen.
Would Jones be tempted to move to heavyweight if Haye won, Haye is a big bloke but not a super tall monster and his chin is a bit sus.If Hayes wins and finished any contractual agreements with the Klit camp who knows ??
