When the hell was Pacquiao rocked? I don't know what fight you were watching, Pacquiao was rocked in round 2 against Marquez or against Oscar Larios, but not against Hatton.
Pacquiao was rocked by a short left hook in the second round, and funny how i'm not the only one saying it, it's not like i'm saying that Hatton hurt him so bad that Manny was in any type of danger, but he did stagger him, by the way Larios rocked Manny in the 3rd, and Marquez in the 6th (first fight)

Hatton was so wide open, it was embarrasing. Head movement? I saw it once in round two. Defence? I saw it once in round two. His head was static for around 90% of the fight. What was he thinking of? I can only assume he thought, "I can take his punches, I'm just going to walk through them".
Ridiculously bad tactics.
agreed, Ricky fought a horrible fight, but he did land a very nice short left hook on the inside, aside from that it was all Pacquiao
There is nothing Ricky could have done to win the fight, he just doesn't bring enough to the table.
saying Hatton brings nothing to the table basically discredit's Manny's win, it's not lessening Pacquiao's performance by saying that Hatton fought a shit fight, and it's the damned truth, no denying it, Manny fought the fight he was supposed to, that's the difference

It was shockingly poor on Hattons part. Manny deserves credit because he went out there and performed as he should. We can't really say the same of Hatton. A shame really. :-\
exactly what i'm saying, people think all of a sudden if you say Hatton fought a ridiculously dumb fight that it somehow discredits Manny's win, it doesn't, it's just a fact and a part of the fight, Manny was able to perform better against a top level opponant than Hatton was, simple as that
Re: just re-watched Hatton vs. Pacquiao
larios caught pac good! you can see pac fade err black out for a split second. but so far pac has a solid chin, he took a couple of hard punches from diff opponents but not enough to say that pac has a glass chin.
hatton tagged him but that was it, all great boxers gets caught by a good punch, its boxing you get hit all the time.pac got hit and reacted quick by hitting back 10 times more.
then did something i didn't like at all really, he does a half clinch but is far enough that he could whack Ricky with uppers, didn't like that at all really and he does it in other fights as well
i think roach told him to do that whenever hatton tries to clinch and punch him. maybe just to show that pac can do the same thing to hatton.
Re: just re-watched Hatton vs. Pacquiao
Pac and his team did their homework just fine training for Pac's leaping attacks. Watch all KOs and you'll see how Pac is just waiting with eyes wide open looking for any sign that Hatton would leap-attack and KABOOM! Hatton would go down until the very last one.

there only was ONE KO, and i've seen all the KNOCKDOWNS various times ;D, and i'm assuming you mean Pac trained fro HATTON's leaping attacks

i'm not saying that Pacquiao has a glass chin at all, even with Hatton rocking him, that's a naturally bigger man rocking him, and i said it also that he wasn't seriously hurt or in danger or anything, and also not trying to imply that Pac was fighting dirty, just didn't like it, and he's done it before

You might be right. Remember the one where Hatton goes down and falls with his hands on the mat. He telegraphed a left hook as he went forward and down he went. Then the last one going forward with a punch to Pac's body and down he went again. I'll watch the KOs again since most video sites are blocked here in the office.

He trained for Hattons giveaway that he was gonna throw a left hook by pivoting and cocking it back. Something Roach touched on, so it was easy to time, whenever Hatton cocks that left back like that, he is coming the other way with a left hook, and Pacquiao knew this and caught him as a counter to it. Of course Mayweather knew it first and caught him with the check left hook for it all night ;)
Re: just re-watched Hatton vs. Pacquiao
I've watched it four times and just saw it again and still don't see where Manny was rocked.
How much time was left in the round when this happened cause I don't see it.

it was midway through the round i believe, and i'm not saying that he was seriously hurt
Re: just re-watched Hatton vs. Pacquiao
All I know is Hatton had him pummpled. He was landing great shots with his face on manny's gloves.
Hatton was well ahead on the scorecards when Pac landed that cheap blow to his chin. It was a really dirty shot to make hatton look that bad. He should have boxed, and seen if pacquiao was ready to go the distance. Because Pac fizzes out after the 12th round. Hatton TKO13 if he just backed up and jabbed.
Re: just re-watched Hatton vs. Pacquiao
ErikMOrales you guys see any little stumble as somebody being badly hurt, apparently it is impossible for somebody to lose their balance without being hurt, Manny was never hurt in that fight at all. I am talking about the second Pacman-Marquez fight where in the 2nd round he landed a left hook while Pacman was off balance, but he also hurt Pacman with it.
Maybe you should actually read what I wrote. I said Hatton didn't bring ENOUGH to beat Pacquiao, not that he doesn't bring anything. That's a huge difference so don't put words in my mouth please. Also I said Oscar Larios and Marquez hurt Pacman before why are you reitterating what I said?
ALso for the people who said Hatton wasn't jabbing enough, guess what he was throwing when Manny countered him with that left hook that put him to sleep? He was jabbing, and a few times earlier in the round Manny barely missed similar counter shots or scored glancing blows.

and you apparently DON'T READ, I CLEARLY SAID HE WASN'T SERIOUSLY HURT, before you go crying, get your info right, Taeth = key example of a poster who if your opinion isn't the same as his, you apparently know nothing of boxing:rolleyes:
Re: just re-watched Hatton vs. Pacquiao
Hatton did not rock Pac. Pac's legs didn't buckle. He didn't even get wobbled.
Re: just re-watched Hatton vs. Pacquiao
I re-watched the fight many times and noticed it was PAC who delivered the most telling blow to the body... This one happened in the 2nd round, seconds before the BIG KO...
