Not to mention he has beat better comp then Ortiz has i just dont understand why he so underrated on this forum to tell you the truth. As for Ortiz moving up to welterweight he would get crushed by Cotto, Mosely, and if he come back probable Margarito to i am guessing.
He is considered a monster because of his performances in the ring. Can't think of too many other 22 year olds that have fought as good of competition as he has. I think people on here rate Bradley very highly, as a matter of fact he is rated #2 at 140 right behind PAC (who earned that by removing Hatton from his throne.) Ortiz has not yet cracked the top 10. But based on how he handles himself in the ring, I fully expect him to jump on that list very soon.

You have me intrigued about this Ortiz, he must be very good if some of you think he can actually stop Bradley.

IMO Ortiz is gonna be like Cotto, be good at 140, then move up to 147 to be great, he's strong, brutal power, tough, and a big 140 lb fighter, but with that said, the Arnaoutis "win" was a fluke ;D
Re: Timothy Bradley Vs Victor Ortiz: Who Wins ??
I am a fan of Cotto but do not believe he is an ATG like Tito was, so would like to root for the next ATG comming up.

IMO Cotto still has loads of time to accomplish a lot more, he's only 28, so his career is hardly over
Re: Timothy Bradley Vs Victor Ortiz: Who Wins ??
Tito was special and you could tell by the way he was beating and flattening quality fighters. Cotto is good but not that good.

that being said, IMO Cotto is a lot more versatile than Tito, what saved Trinidad a lot of times was his power, and the fact that he was a great finisher, but in actual boxing ability i give the edge to Cotto
Re: Timothy Bradley Vs Victor Ortiz: Who Wins ??
Well i stick to my thoughts i think Bradley can outwork Ortiz to a ud. Also on the Cotto status he still young but from what i seen not sure atg. I mean he barely got past Mosley in fight i thought Mosled did enough. Then there is the Margarito fight which cant be proved either way but he was making some mistakes that he should not of made in my opinion. I think Cotto needs to work on his stamina his young but seems to really tire in the late rounds worse then Oscar Dela Hoya did when he was younger. Also still not really sold on his chin the biggest problem i see is the mouth thing that keeps getting reopen seems to be a real problem for him. Cotto can still be great but i not sure put him in a Leonard status or anything.

Leonard no, but IMO he still has enough time and the tools to match or come close to Trinidad
Re: Timothy Bradley Vs Victor Ortiz: Who Wins ??
Ortiz at this point, seems to be on pace to become the Francisco Bojado that Bojado never became. Hes seems to have more polished skills and focuses his agression more acutely. An agressive fighter and hard puncher, who can be countered.
Bradley is a good fighter. He shows heart, skills and speed. Perhaps the lesser skilled Zab Judah with a better work ethic and attitude and chin. The problem I see with bradley, is like Zab.. He gets a little ahead of himself at times, only hes still managed to slide by without his mistakes costing him big. Not sure if he he could out run Ortiz, if he was clipped and in trouble early in the round.
I would still go with Bradley at this point because its not a given that Ortiz is going to get to bradley and sting him. With the respective skillsets (and from what we've already seen), Bradley has an easier task in creeping in and out and potshotting Ortiz to a points victory and tying him up than Ortiz does at running Bradley down, catching him clean early, and finishing him. If Ortiz is forced to take more chances late, there could be a knockdown or stoppage by Bradley but I would go with a points victory.

and Ortiz actually seems dedicated and driven to become a great fighter, something Bojado was lacking big time
Re: Timothy Bradley Vs Victor Ortiz: Who Wins ??
The reason people like Victor Ortiz is because he has a lot more talent than Bradley, he had a great amateur career, he's been very impressive as a pro. Only Timothy's last three opponents have been very strong, and IMO they aren't anywhere near as good as Victor Ortiz, Witter is way overrated he has a incredible speed, but terrible form. Holt would have been ko'ed twice by Ricardo Torres if he hadn't headbutted Torres in their second fight.
Re: Timothy Bradley Vs Victor Ortiz: Who Wins ??
Pugilistic see-saw on this one.Ortiz looks the part of a man on a mission progressing at a rapid rate on track for Championship status.Has received massive exposure and great promotion after some rocky moments outside of the ring and has done so in impressive, definitive fashion.Personally I believe their are a couple of guys in our ranking that I'd favor him over.Namely Torres and Ngoudjo. He is very explosive and if/when he gets a guy hurt,Its curtains :shinner:.The blitzing of Mighty Mike put him at the forefront and others on notice. This would be a great scrap but first and foremost for the young Ortiz is what may be a decent quiz when he fights Maidana.I like this kid alot. And he 'looks the goods'.
But......and there is always a but.I'm going with Bradley. To me....It comes down to all around professional experience and rounds traveled.I think Ortiz is in need of rounds.Save for a 10 round drubbing of somewhat spent shell casing Emmanuel Clottey,he has not really had to trudge through the trenches in a late round affair against a sturdy, well honed top notch caliber fighter like Bradley.Hes not fighting utter tomato cans but hes also not fighting world beaters.Of course you cannot fault a guy for knocking his opposition flat on their respected wallets early in a fight. But I have to go with the late round experience here.Bradley is one that does not do a single thing in spectacular fashion.....but he does most if not all in good order. His chin is solid, more importantly is is mental make-up as when he rose off the deck from The Holt KD.Two big factors will be Ortizs southpaw approach and his guaranteed early onslaught against a Bradley. But I think Bradleys work rate, conditioning and fresh off of three straight wins over very solid opposition on the big stage have me leaning his way over the distance.Coffee x 2.
Re: Timothy Bradley Vs Victor Ortiz: Who Wins ??
the workrate could be big, if his chin holds up and I wouldn't be shocked at all if it did Bradley could outwork him. Ortiz would probably land the cleaner shots, certainly the harder shots, but he's a patient somewhat methodical guy, not a bad thing necessarily but Bradley could win rounds on workrate.

You might just be right on with the cleaner shots, especially straight.Holt landed that blinding bomb on Bradley and I think Ortiz has the mentality of a finisher. He looks to want to take a guy out :shinner:.
