Also Helio Gracie, the founder of Gracie jujitsu, died in January.

A favorite MMA fghter, Evan Tanner, died this year too. Walking in the desert and didn't take any or ran out of water and keeled over:rolleyes:

Serious? Tanner seemed like a trip.I over heard some guy in the store talking about him being killed by a car ?Walking in the desert.What was he thinking?

I just know they found him in the desert; I had heard it was from dehydration and cooking in the sun. Haven't chekcje up on it.A good due though; and a fighter even non-fans could appreciate as he was fierce. He was out there; some sort of Zen Hippy or something.
