Re: Cotto Vs Pac official 145lb the agreed weight
I think what this fight comes down to iswho can take the punches better.

Damn right, this should be one of the best FOTY at the end of it.
I don’t really care who will win because I like the both fighters but I have a feeling that this time Pac bit more than he can chew, I mean he can get a decision based on his high workrate if he can take Cotto punches but I have some doubts here and I don’t see Pac stopping Cotto either.

I don't think there's a need to say who I am picking. ;D
Like most trolls, Pacman? ;)
Re: Cotto Vs Pac official 145lb the agreed weight
I hope Cotto's recent cuts don't play a big factor, but with Pac's speed he could open Cotto up early. Cotto did a great job persevering with Clottey, but I'd hate for Cotto/Pac to end on cuts. I really can't wait to see how this fight plays out.
Re: Cotto Vs Pac official 145lb the agreed weight
I do think this fight should have just as well been at 147. It would eliminate excuses or a possible tactic. But I still think at 145 Cotto will overwhelm Pac. But if Pac works on boxing circles he can convincingly outbox Cotto. His footspeed is too fast. Cotto is susceptible right down the middle but Pac doesn't have to use that. Its much easier to outbox Cotto with the ability Pac has. And Cotto has been looking closer to ordinary as of recent. I think Pac very much liked what he saw in the Clottey fight. But maybe that cut was the neutralizer and Cotto will come back to Cotto of pre-Margarito. I like Roach as a trainer and I would guess he saw the ability to outbox Cotto right there but for some reason I think Pac will be gunning and that will make for a tougher fight and I think Cotto will eventually overwhelm him. Either way, I like the fight being made. If only there was a super six welterweight tournament!

I wish it had been at 147 too; you want to take the title and trinket to wrap around your waist then play within the weights as usual.
But, should Manny win, I won't take anything away from him...period. Cotto made the choice, the governing bodies don't take issue with it, so it's on now. And if he loses and makes excuses, I know for me personally I won't pay attention to them. Same with Oscar; he wanted it and got thoroughly embarassed and that's on him. He made alot of $$$ off losing to Pac, but I saw some threads talking about how he was too embarassed to answer his own door after that loss:shinner: Hope the $$$ was worth the shame. The Cotto thing isn't drastic like that, but still I won't give any credence to weight drain excuses if he loses and tosses around the weight card. Cotto doesn't seem the type to make excuses though anyways.
I hope though, if Pac loses, that the nut licking Pac fans don't bellyache about Cotto being bigger but not really better, and take credit away from him.
Re: Cotto Vs Pac official 145lb the agreed weight
Pac doesn't hit as hard as Clottey, Mosley or even Judah. And he's not all that much faster than Judah or Mosley. If he's even faster than them at all. Cotto was able to deal with all 3 to get 3 wins. I see no reason why Cotto can't handle whatever Pacquiao throws at him. Cotto by early stoppage

If only I could go to Vegas twice this year :(
This is gonna be a fantastic fight. November the 14th I cant wait for. Genuine 50/50 fight IMO and I hope there's a 24/7 for this.

If I'm correct you picked ODLH to beat Pac by early KO. You also stated Hatton would beat Pac. Also Marquez. Don't be so confident in Cotto, Violent ;)

Nobody knew De La Hoya was that shot. Hatton-Pacquiao was a win-win fight for me no matter who won. I flipped a coin for it. Tails for Pacquiao. Heads for Hatton. It came up heads. Hatton than goes out and tries to make his own head land on his fiances lap. And Marquez did beat Pacquiao. As will Cotto

You thinking one good body shot puts Pac in retreat mode and he gets broken down with repeat attacks?

I just can't see Pacquiao hurting Cotto. He'll connect. Cuz he is fast. And Cotto ain't exactly hard to hit. But Cotto's been hit before. He's been hurt before. He knows what to do. He'll bide his time. And eventually impose his will on Pacquiao. I have serious doubts about Pacquiao being able to take Cotto's punches.

It's gotta be either that or Cotto can't deal with the speed. Cotto really ain't been to the body in a big way for a few fights, I don't get that:confused:
His best bet is to pound those ribs and slow him down, about 8-9 hard shots during the 1st four rounds should do the trick.
